We mainly came for the night illumination. This isn't Disneyland, but we had a lot of fun on the rides. We went on a weekday, so there were no lines at all! The rides here are more basic compared to other famous parks in Japan. The surrounding food stalls and restaurants offer delicious options, and the vending machines are well-stocked with drinks. But by 6 PM, it suddenly got crowded! I guess it's because of the night illumination. The park turned into a massive light show. Almost every inch of the park was adorned with colorful lights! It was so beautiful! We really enjoyed our time here! It's definitely worth spending time during the night illumination. My best guess is about 10 million light bulbs. Getting there is quite easy; you can take the Keio Line from Shinjuku to Keio Yomiuriland Station, and even the train station has a light show! Don't miss the cable car ride, which costs around 500 yen round trip, and offers a bird's-eye view of the night illumination from above.

#themepark We went December 26, and it was not as crowded as I expected. We got there around 130PM and still got to do about 10 rides total. I was expecting more from the goodjoba area, but it only had a couple of things to do (per area, unless you want to pay more for the other activities. The day-pass is great value and you really need an entire day to fully experience this place. They also have lots of rides for all ages, even the less than 5 kiddos. The Illuminations are beautiful as well! And the food are not overpriced.

I recently had the chance to visit Yomiuriland, and wow, what an unforgettable experience! If you’re looking for a fun, family friendly amusement park in Tokyo without the insane crowds of Disneyland or Universal, Yomiuriland is the place to be. Getting there was super easy. just took the Keio Line straight from Shinjuku Station, no transfers needed, and in about 30-40 minutes, I was at Keio-Yomiuriland Station. From there, you can take the Gondola Sky Shuttle for 500 yen roundtrip. it’s a fun ride with amazing views as you glide towards the park! The park has something for everyone, whether you’re a thrill-seeker or with young kids. For me: -Bandit, the roller coaster, was crazy fast and thrilling, just the way I like it. -The Giant Ferris Wheel was the perfect way to take in the entire park and the view of the Tokyo skyline (and even Mt. Fuji on clear days) was breathtaking. We went during winter, and the Jewellumination light show was incredible, everything lit up with millions of LED lights. It really felt like we were in a winter wonderland. The entry ticket was only 1,800 yen, which I thought was really affordable for the experience. I didn’t get the one-day pass because I wasn’t sure if I’d be doing all the rides, but you can get the pass for 5,800 yen if you want unlimited access. I chose to pay as I went, with each ride costing around 300-500 yen. It worked out to be much cheaper than I expected, and there were plenty of food options to keep us going throughout the day. The Yomiuriland Illumination was a fantastical experience where a dreamlike brilliance spread throughout the park. Millions of LED lights installed across the vast grounds were decorated with various themes, creating a sensation of being drawn into a world of light. We tried all the rides they offered and even rode ‘em all multiple times whenever it’s possible like the Bandit we tried it 2X: one normal and one with splash. We visited on a Saturday before the end of summer vacation I thought it will be too crowded as it’s summer vacation for mostly but amazingly it’s not. There’s quite a volume of people and yet it doesn’t feel like it’s too crowded. there’s 2 activities that’s have a queues of up to 30 minutes but the waiting time was not boring at all as each hallways / waiting area have it’s unique design enough to get you distracted like the old Photo Booth frame style at the Fashion factory I think it’s really cool. What’s super great about this place is that they both offer amusement park and a swimming pool inside the premises. They even allowed swim wear in the theme park as long as you put over garment like a huge t-shirt and whatnot. Yomiuri Land is definitely great for all ages: kids, adult, families, and couples. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ✨

#2024wish A short trip from Shinjuku station, leads you to the wonderful Yomiuriland, an amusement park with eight different areas to explore in addition to several gift shops and restaurants. From thrill-seeking roller coasters to a tame merry-go-round, there are attractions that adults and children will enjoy. Many of the park’s rides are based around the white dog mascot and are also sponsored by big brands such as Nissin foods. I want to come back here and try other rides.

A really beautiful theme park at night with the illumination event going on for the holidays. There are rides for all ages. You can either buy tickets to walk around or buy it with a ride pass. We went to their winter illumination. A zillion lights on everything. Magical and beautiful. Rides all working, most for younger kids, but two serious roller coasters. Also a great water show in the evening with fountains moving to the music. Twice a night, human dancers do a number with the fountains and music. From the subway you can take the aerial ropeway up the hill. Low cost transport up the hill. I wish to go back here in 2024 #2024wish

It's in Yomiuri Land, so you need to pay a separate entrance fee to go. So while I was at it, I got on the Yakisoban Splash🌊 near Starbucks. I stopped by for a change of pace. it was raining and it was empty. The inside of the store is calm and comfortable when it is empty. The window side, conscious of the couple, it's a little narrow. We went on a weekday night and was surprised that there was not much queues even though there were quite a lot of people. This park is also more popular with the locals.
