You can take pictures of all the cars in the exhibition hall, but you can't touch them ~ after all, they are antiques. #MarchGoodPlaces2025 Yufuin is really a great place to relax, no wonder it is a favorite hot spring resort for both Japanese and Chinese. If you are not staying in a hot spring hotel, you can go to the spa for day, but not every hotel provides day spas, and not all hotels have open-air views. I chose the Sansuikan Onsen Hotel in Yufuin. The highlight of this hot spring hotel is that it has a semi-open-air hot spring from which you can overlook the scenery of Mount Yufu in the distance, and it is super beautiful... Because it is about 8 minutes walk from the station, it is very convenient. I recommend it to people who don’t have accommodation to come and take a bath. I bought a ticket from the self-service machine and the bathing fee was 1,000 yen, which was not cheap, but I felt it was worth it. There are 4 indoor pools + 2 outdoor pools, and a sauna for male guests. The open-air pool has a nice view, and the changing rooms are well-equipped with everything you need for hair, body and face painting. Take a dip in the open-air hot spring first, it will be very comfortable and your trip to Yufuin will not be in vain!

One of the most anticipated transportation experiences during my visit to Kyushu, Japan, was taking the popular sightseeing train "Yufuin-no-Mori" from Hakata to Yufuin and Beppu in Oita Prefecture. The booking process for this train is actually very simple. I selected the departure time and seat through the official website of JR Kyushu, and received a confirmation email after payment. After boarding the Yufuin-no-Mori train, the atmosphere in the entire carriage made me feel very relaxed. The interior of the train has a strong European and elegant style. There are many pictures of Yufuin scenery and some exquisite details on the decoration. Walking in it feels like walking in the forest. The overall atmosphere makes people feel very comfortable. There are many facilities on the train and a variety of meals are provided to make the ride more enriching. I specially ordered the "Yufuin Wheeled Rice" for 1,000 yen (tax included). Share Fukuoka 8 days 7 nights travel plan 🇯🇵 This trip, I changed my sleeping place 1 time, so prepare a small bag. 😆 Day 1: - BKK —>> FUK at 5 am, arrive around 9 am Thai Vietjet Airlines (I recommend buying Deluxed for convenience when checking in and getting 20 kg of luggage. Yufuin Onsen is all you need to know about Yufuin travel I was immediately attracted to this hot spring in Yufuin. The women's open-air hot spring is the largest pool I've ever been to. I recently traveled from Fukuoka to the beautiful Yufuin! 🚆 We booked the "Yufuin no Mori" special train. Tickets for this train need to be booked online in advance and picked up at Fukuoka Station. This arrangement makes us look forward to this trip! 🗓️ Taking the JR Kagoshima Main Line from Fukuoka Station, it takes about two hours to reach Yufuin Station. We started our trip to Fukuoka, stayed at Hakata Station, took the Yufuin Nomori train for about 2 hours and 15 minutes. The train can be booked 30 days before departure. I recommend booking early because it fills up fast. We booked the first and last train back. We had about 6 hours to travel. Most importantly, we bought the JR pass. It’s really worth it to travel. The train is very cute. There are food and souvenirs for sale. For those who want to try the food, I recommend going to the food booth as soon as it opens because the queue is very long. The food booth has opening and closing times. You can ask the staff when you arrive in Yufuin. The first photo spot we saw was in front of the train station. The photos came out very beautifully. Other spots along the way are also beautiful. You can stop and take photos along the way. But unfortunately, it rained (all day) on the day we went. The sky may have been a little cloudy. But overall, I really liked it. It felt very warm. The first check-in point is the Yunotsubo Kaido walking street. There are cute restaurants and cafes along both sides of the road. You can take a leisurely walk. The food is delicious. There are many delicious desserts. You can choose as you like. The second check-in point is the European-style village Yufuin Floral Village. It is a small village with many animals such as goats, birds, ducks, and cute souvenirs for sale.
