[Chiba Prefecture] Late autumn foliage spot in Kanto City! Yoro Valley
Yoro Valley is located in the center of the Boso Peninsula, straddling Ichihara City and Otaki Town in Chiba Prefecture.
It is known as the latest autumn foliage in the Kanto region, and the best time to see it is usually from late November to early December.
When I visited in 2019, a large-scale flood had occurred, and the promenade and stepping stones had been washed away, and the trees had fallen, leaving it in a pitiful state.
It seems that promenades are often destroyed when there is a flood.
Even so, Yoro Valley has few ups and downs, and anyone from the elderly to children can easily stroll around, which is a good thing.
The coloring varies depending on the year, but the highlight, Awamatano Falls, is dynamic and the contrast with the autumn leaves is beautiful.
Personally, I thought the autumn leaves at "Tsutsumori Momiji Valley" and "Konjin Falls", which is further back from Awamatano Falls, were vivid and beautiful! Every year, the Awamatataki Falls, the Kannon Bridge area, and the Nakase Promenade are lit up at night, which is also elegant.
