Overview of the Scenic Area
📍Yulong Bay is located near Taiping Village, off the Shi'an Expressway in the western suburbs of Kunming. It's 12 km from Anning city center and is a comprehensive scenic area integrating natural landscapes, leisure and entertainment, and film and television shooting.
Basic Information
🧭Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (last entry at 5pm); Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays, 9am–5:30pm.
🚪Ticket information: Yulong Bay Park tickets, CNY 30/person; tickets + bungee jumping, CNY 198/person; study tour package, CNY 298/person; Yulong Bay Park annual pass, CNY 180/year/person.
🍑Preferential policies: Free admission for children 1.2m (inclusive) and under, seniors aged 70 and above with a senior citizen's card or ID card, active military personnel with a military officer's card, and people with disabilities with a disability certificate.
Transportation Guide
🛻Self-driving: From Kunming city center: Take the Hangrui Expressway (G56) to the Anning exit → Turn towards Wenquan Town → Follow the signs for about 8 km.
🅿️Parking: Parking lots at the east/west gate of the scenic area (CNY 10/day). Parking spaces are limited during holidays, so it is recommended to arrive early.
🚌Public transportation: Take the "Anning Wenquan" bus from Kunming North Bus Station → Take a taxi from the terminal to the scenic area (approx. CNY 15).
From Kunming city center, take Bus No. 17 to Taiping Town Station, transfer to Anning Taiping New Town Bus No. 10 to Sand's Outlet, and then head to Yulong Bay Park. From Anning city center, take Bus No. 37 to Sand's Outlet and then head to the park.
🚇Subway: Take Subway Line 3, then transfer to Kunming Bus No. 17, Anning Bus No. 17, or Anning Bus No. 37.
😇Yulong Bay Lake
- This is the core scenic spot. You can stroll along the lakeside path and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The lake is crystal clear, surrounded by green mountains. In spring, the lakeside is shaded by lush trees and dotted with colorful flowers. In autumn, the leaves on the mountains change color, and the lake and autumn scenery complement each other perfectly. The walk takes about 1–2 hours. Renting a bicycle for a ride around the lake can save energy and add to the fun. Bicycle rentals usually cost between CNY 20–50/hour.
🌲Forest Trail
- There are specially built forest trails in the forest area of the scenic area. Walking on the trails, you can breathe fresh air and feel the tranquility of nature. You can also take your pets on the trails, where you can see many wild plants and, if you're lucky, encounter squirrels and other small animals. The entire hike may take 2–3 hours. Comfortable athletic shoes are recommended.

- You can also enjoy water activities on Yulong Bay Lake, such as kayaking. Paddling a kayak on the lake is a very pleasant experience. Kayak rentals are calculated by the hour, costing around CNY 80–150/hour, for single or double use.

- The scenic area has preserved many filming locations for costume dramas, period dramas, etc. Visitors can walk into these scenes, imagine themselves as characters in the dramas, and experience the charm of film and television shooting.
