[2025 Kawasaki Attraction] Travel Guide for Yumemigasaki Zoological Park (Updated May)

#EnjoyJapan #Kanagawa #DomesticTravel I went to Yumemigasaki Zoo🦓 It is a small municipal zoo in Saiwai-ku, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and is a relaxing spot where anyone can enter and exit freely without any admission fee🌱 It opened in 1972 and is open all year round from 9am to 4pm🥰 The zoo is compact and takes about 5 minutes to walk from one end to the other👀Even if you take your time, you can go around in about an hour, so it is large enough that even with small children it is not tiring. There are many flat roads and you can move around with a stroller🙆♀️ There are about 57 species and about 339 animals kept, and it was a lot of fun🕊️

#cherryblossom2024 It's a little zoological park on top of a small hill. There is no entrance fee which is nice. There are picnic tables and comfort rooms available. It seems to be a popular weekend destination for the locals. There is a also a small play areas with some playground for kids to play at. A few small interesting paths for people to walk around and enjoy themselves. The staff seem to be efficient and treat the animals decently.

#thingstodo It only has a few animals 🦓 🐼 🐐 🐴 🐿️ , birds 🦩 🦜 🦅 🐧 and reptiles 🐢 ... But it's free! Great place to bring young kids who might not have seen many animals in real life. After the excitement of seeing the animals they can play in the tiny park area while the parents relax on some seating. Besides the animals there are also a variety of temples, plenty of vending machines (included different パン 🍞 and ice cream 🍦), at least 3 toilets buildings, and a sculpture. All of this and it's on a hill with some great views of the surrounding city 🏙️.
