A Wonderful Journey into Nature: The Ultimate Guide to Yunluo Botanical Garden
Still wondering where to go this weekend? Come to Yunluo Botanical Garden! Located at the southern foot of Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, it is one of the Guangzhou ex-situ conservation demonstration areas in the National Botanical Garden system. It officially opened on November 29, 2024.
🎫Tickets: Until February 28, 2025, tickets are CNY 20 per person, and CNY 12 for concession tickets. Seniors aged 65 and above, children 1.2m and under, etc., enjoy free admission with valid ID.
🚗Transportation: Green travel is recommended. Take bus routes 24, 63, B16, etc., to Yuntai Garden Terminal, or bus routes 32, 46, etc., to Baiyun Cableway Station. By subway, take Line 11 to Yuntai Garden Station (expected to open at the end of 2024). For parking, choose Baiyun Shuangyan Robot Parking Lot or Yunshan Tiandi Parking Lot.

• Admire rare plants: The garden conserves over 1,500 species of native and rare plants, including 36 national first-class protected plants and 58 national second-class protected plants. You can see the "rainforest giant" *Parashorea chinensis* and the "panda of the plant world," *Paphiopedilum emersonii*. Don't miss the three "treasures of the garden"—the Queen Staghorn Fern, the "Five Sparrows" Bougainvillea, and the Baobab Tree.
• See the unique gardens: Stroll along the nearly 2km-long kapok tree-lined road, wander among tall trees, and enjoy the city view. Ascend the Baiyun Pavilion, shaped like a kapok flower, for a panoramic view of Guangzhou. Enter the rainforest valley and experience the tropical rainforest atmosphere with its swirling mist and intertwined roots.
• Fun science education: The garden has a mobile nature observation service station, a nature education trail, interactive science installations, and regular plant science explanations. Bring your children to learn while having fun.
Suggested route: Start from Flower Petal Square, pass by Wu Lake to admire the bald cypress trees, stroll along the kapok road, climb Baiyun Pavilion for a panoramic view, then go to Taihen Bridge to learn about moss, then go to Shengyan Square to admire the flowers, then visit the carnivorous plant exhibition in Hall A of Lanting and the *Gesneriaceae* exhibition in Hall B, and finally take photos at Wuyan Bridge.
