Yun Tai Garden is located at the southern foot of Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area. Known as the "Pearl of the Flower City," it is a rare urban garden. Want to know how to have fun? Check out this guide.
- Basic Information: The address is No. 5 Yunshan South Road, Jingtai Street, Baiyun District, Guangzhou. It is open from 08:00–18:00, with entry stopping at 17:00. Here, you can see various precious flowers in all seasons. The garden style integrates Eastern and Western characteristics, with both Chinese-style flower walls and European-style Roman columns.
- Tickets: CNY 10/person. You can buy tickets on-site, or you can search for "Guangzhou Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area Service Account" on WeChat to make an advance booking. Some people are eligible for discounts. Children under 6 years old or shorter than 1.2m, and adults over 65 years old can enjoy free tickets with valid ID. Full-time undergraduates and students with lower degrees, people aged 6–18, and seniors aged 60–64 get half-price tickets.
- Transportation Guide:
- Subway: Take Subway Line 11, exit from Exit C2 of Yuntai Garden Station, and walk for about 2 minutes according to the road signs.
- Bus: Take Tourist Bus Line 1 to reach Yuntai Garden Terminal directly; or take Bus No. 24, No. 63, No. 240, etc. and get off at Yuntai Garden Station; you can also take Bus No. 46, No. 60 and other lines and get off at Baiyun Cableway Station.
- Self-driving: Directly navigate to "Yuntai Garden Parking Lot". It is recommended to arrive before 9am on weekends. The parking fee is CNY 5/hr.
- Itinerary:
- Morning: Enter from the southeast gate. The first thing you see is the Flying Waterfall, where the spectacular waterfall complements the flowers. Then go to Yi Garden, where there is a hydrangea exhibition (during the flowering period), as well as a camping exhibition and snack food trucks. Then go to Huacheng Huashi to admire the seasonal flowers.
- Noon: At the special food stalls in the park, taste Cantonese delicacies such as Sampan Porridge and Rice Noodle Rolls, and take a short rest.
- Afternoon: Come to the Roman Columns, which are very exotic. Many newlyweds take wedding photos here, which are very photogenic. Then walk into the Rose Garden, where hundreds of varieties of roses bloom wantonly, accompanied by rockeries, flowing water, and European-style courtyard landscaping. Then go to the Glass Greenhouse, which is divided into a cactus and succulent plant area, a palm family area, and an orchid area, where you can see all kinds of rare plants. Finally, stroll through the Cultural Corridor to feel the charm of garden culture and leave from the southeast gate.
- Photo Spots: The Roman Columns, Rose Garden, Glass Greenhouse, and Flying Waterfall are all excellent photo spots. It is recommended to wear light-colored, pastoral-style clothing to make your photos more beautiful.
- Precautions:
- Take sun protection measures and bring a sun hat, sunscreen, etc.
- Protect the plants in the park and do not pick them at will.
- Take photos in a civilized manner and do not disturb others.
- Pay attention to the opening hours and event arrangements of each area.
