#heritageplace Visited to Yuyuan Old Street in Shanghai this end of February and we were soooo lucky that we still managed to see this super duper stunning Chinese New Year decoration with the red-fish themed across the entire area. Cant be denied, Shanghai has the most beautiful CNY decor!!!! How to get there: - Take the MRT and alight the Yuyuan Station - Using line 10 or 14 Highlight: - You can wear the Chinese traditional clothes to take picture in this 400 years old street. The street must be visited both during day and night - differently haunting at day and and lamp lights.Definitely a must visit for tourist! Place is filled with so much historical buildings. Very spot is a photo spot! Its so grand and majestic. Tons of shops in each alleyway. The deco is so nicely done up too, with lanterns rabbit flowers and dragons. Alot of food options too, must try the huge soup dumpling for the experience. Recommend to spend the whole afternoon here to just roam the alley!

This time, I took a short gourmet trip to Yuyuan Garden using Air China's 6-hour transit at Shanghai Pudong Airport → transit visa. It took about 30 minutes from arrival to leaving the airport About 1 hour to Yuyuan Garden x 2 hours round trip 2 hours before immigration to be sure So, my actual stay was about 1 hour but I really enjoyed it! I went to a famous baked xiaolongbao restaurant Lemon tea at Yuyuan Garden And xiaolongbao I only had a little, but I enjoyed Shanghai cuisine! Currently, a visa is required to enter China, but a transit visa is issued free of charge on the day. Because it is a transit, you need a ticket from a third country, via China, to a third country again If you are transiting, it might be a good idea to go a little further (^^) Conditions for transit visas may change from time to time, so be sure to check them out #Traveling with Me

#chinatrip Beautiful spot. I was a bit afraid that it might look like a tacky Disneyland version of old China based on some reviews but the whole area is actually gorgeous. There are tons of shops and places to get food. I visited late at night and the lights gave an amazing look to the streets. Highly recommended! The architecture and lighting are superb and there are lots of neat little trinkets and photo spots.

The buildings were light up beautifully at every corner, as if we entered into a different realm of China 😍 I guess you should easily spare 2-3hours walking around for everything they have to offer - foods, drinks, fashions, sport goods and even some souvenirs shop! Definitely will come back to this place!

In the morning, I went to the Piano Spring Garden, and after lunch at People's Square, I slowly walked to Yuyuan, which took about half an hour. Along the way, I passed by the New World Department Store and various old buildings, which really had the flavor of the seventies and eighties. If you have time, it's truly worth taking a stroll through the center of Shanghai. By the time we arrived at Yuyuan, it was past the time for entering the garden for a visit, but I didn't feel regretful. After all, Suzhou-style gardens can be found in many places, and the pedestrian street outside Yuyuan is very quaint when the lights are on at night. It's like traveling back to the streets of ancient times. The imitation ancient pavilions and towers are exquisitely crafted, and there are famous restaurants everywhere, such as Green Wave Corridor, Nanxiang Steamed Bun Shop, and Yuyuan Shanghai Restaurant, which are worth visiting at night.
