Strolling around West Nanjing Road, near Zhang Yuan 🏤
That day, I didn't have any plans, but I woke up and just wanted to walk around the city, so I stopped by Zhang Yuan on West Nanjing Road. It felt like walking in Europe, but it still had a Shanghai feel to it.
The atmosphere was sooo good!
An old-style red brick building renovated into a cool cafe and a chic clothing store. No matter where you take a picture, it's beautiful. There's Zara, Lululemon, and other Chinese brands with really cool designs.
Lots of coffee shops! ☕️
Walking around, I came across many cafes with beautiful designs, such as Seesaw Coffee, M Stand, % Arabica, or you can sit and eat dessert at Lady M. There were a lot of locals and tourists walking around, but it wasn't too crowded.
Zhang Yuan used to be an ancient Western village in Shanghai. Now it's been renovated into a premium project, but the original details are still preserved. Those who like old architecture will love it.
⏰ Best time: Come for a walk in the afternoon to evening. The light is beautiful, take beautiful pictures, and all the shops are open.
📍 Location: Near MRT West Nanjing Road Station (Line 2, 12, 13), Exit 1 or 4, and it takes only a few minutes to walk there.
To summarize the feeling:
✔️ Take a leisurely walk, take beautiful pictures.
✔️ Lots of cafes, lots of fashion shops.
✔️ Good atmosphere, not crowded.
✔️ Another place that makes me feel that Shanghai is very charming.
If you come to Shanghai and want to find a place to walk around with a bit of aesthetics, I recommend coming to this zone!
