Drizzles and Daydreams: A Serene Stroll Through Zhengzhou University
As I stepped out of my dormitory at Zhengzhou University, the sky was draped in soft, grey clouds, hinting at a drizzle that had already started. The gentle rain was just enough to wet the pavement, leaving a light sheen on the ground but not heavy enough to force me to take cover. The familiar smell of fresh rain mixed with the scent of greenery around the campus. A cool breeze whispered through the trees, carrying the light, rhythmic patter of raindrops hitting the leaves.
I strolled down the university paths, the towering trees on both sides swaying slightly in the wind. The drizzle added a serene beauty to the atmosphere, making the world seem calmer, quieter, as if everything had slowed down. Students hurried by, holding up colorful umbrellas, their laughter and conversations blending into the gentle sounds of the rain.
The buildings, with their traditional Chinese architectural features, stood solemnly against the backdrop of grey skies. The drizzle clung to the red roofs, giving them a glistening shine. Walking past the library, I couldn’t help but notice how the small patches of grass and flowers looked more vibrant in the rain, the drops of water clinging to their petals, sparkling like tiny jewels.
As I approached the lake near the center of the campus, I paused to take in the view. The surface of the water rippled gently with the raindrops, creating a mesmerizing pattern. Despite the drizzle, the area was alive with energy. Groups of students strolled around the lake, some taking pictures, others simply enjoying the peaceful moment, much like myself.
There was something magical about the combination of the quiet campus, the light rain, and the cool air. I felt a deep sense of contentment, appreciating the beauty of this moment at Zhengzhou University. Despite the weather, or perhaps because of it, the campus felt more alive, more vibrant, and I was having great fun being a part of it. The drizzle didn’t dampen my spirits; if anything, it made the day feel even more special.
