Beijing Cultural Museum (Zhihua Temple) was established in 1992. It is located in Zhihua Temple in Lumicang Hutong, Beijing. It is a window for cultural and exhibition information exchange. Zhihua Temple was built in the ninth year of Zhengtong (1444). It is a relatively complete Ming Dynasty wooden structure existing in Beijing. It is also a Zen forest pure land integrating statues, Buddhist scriptures, murals, music and other Buddhist arts. The whole building of the ancient temple faces south from the north. On the central axis are the main buildings such as the Mountain Gate, Zhihua Gate, Zhihua Hall, Wanfo Pavilion, and Dabei Hall. There are more than 1,500 collections in the exhibition hall, including a large mural, 4.8 meters long and 3.1 meters high. There is still a "Zan Lun Zang" in the Tibetan Hall, which is the oldest existing Zhan Lun Zang in Beijing. There are exhibitions such as the Ming Dynasty Beijing Temple Exhibition, the Ming Dynasty Sixteen Emperor Exhibition, the Zhihua Temple Collection Fine Buddhist Sutras Exhibition, the Zhihua Temple Collection Fine Buddha Statues Exhibition, and the Zhihua Temple Historical Evolution Exhibition. The exhibits on display at the Beijing Cultural and Museum Exchange Hall not only include physical objects, but also the first batch of intangible cultural heritage in China - Beijing music.
