🌟Highlights: A very unique Buyei ethnic old village transformed, preserving century-old stone walls into standalone suites, with a bar converted from a pigsty—very interesting🤓 The newly built part is grand and modern minimalist, especially the lobby with several floors of high ceilings facing the mountains, making it very relaxing and comfortable. There’s also a pool at the forest edge, curved corridors, and terraces—very beautiful. It’s rare to see such a brilliant fusion of old and new architectural styles. ❤Recommended because: Forest lovers will be very happy. The whole place is in the forest with ancient trees everywhere. Some terraces/balconies even wrap around big tree trunks. It might be a bit bleak and cold in autumn and winter, but very cool and refreshing in spring and summer. 🛏Room facilities: Custom mattresses, very comfortable. We slept on a 2-meter one. Hansgrohe showerhead—I didn’t know this brand before, but after asking the butler about the model, I bought it. Dyson, electric toilet, electric curtains are all very easy to use, though many hotels seem to have them now. The toiletries are from Sevenplus, a niche brand I really like. Very generous, with Perrier water and a big bag of good-quality snacks. 🍽Dining recommendations: The food quality is also very high. It’s quite a surprise to have good bread🥯 and nice hand-brewed coffee☕️ in such a place. The main restaurant’s Guizhou cuisine is also very authentic. 👍Most recommended: A newly opened hotel with everyone full of enthusiasm and energy. There’s none of that long-standing routine or tired service. Haha, they sincerely welcome guests and provide very proactive service. I originally didn't plan to stay overnight near Huangguoshu, but after seeing Zhiye Hotel online, I decided to make a stop—and it turned out to be the best choice! The hotel offers thoughtful shuttle service, just a few minutes' drive to the scenic area. I recommend arriving at Zhiye half a day early and visiting Huangguoshu Waterfall first thing the next morning—it's absolutely perfect. Zhiye Resort Hotel is the warmest hotel I've ever stayed at. Every staff member here wears a gentle smile, especially the butler Xiao Wei and the barista. Whether it's accommodation or dining, they provide attentive and warm service, even offering to take photos for us. When they heard my mom loves loquats, they brought a whole plate to our room. The hot pot at the hotel restaurant is incredibly delicious, and the view of greenery while dining is breathtaking. The bar at night, with Xiao Wei's friendly conversation, creates a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel is spacious, with beautiful scenery everywhere. Both the views and the people here made me reluctant to leave. The rooms are clean and tidy, with windows framing the mountain forest outside. It's worth spending a whole day here to fully experience it—picking mulberries, making fridge magnet crafts, enjoying free photo sessions, savoring delicious meals at the restaurant, and tasting wine and coffee. This place is truly wonderful, the highlight of my trip to Guizhou. I'll definitely be back next time—see you again!
