[2025 Yokohama Attraction] Travel Guide for Zou-no-hana Park (Updated Mar)

#parksandgardens #100waysoftravel It was a nice sunny day at Yokohama, and I can't bear to let this nice weather off without going outside for some nice breeze, so I walked out of my hotel and take a stroll around the coastline of Yokohama Pier. There I reached this nice little seaside park called Zou no Hana Park, which means the Elephant Trunk Park. It spans approximately 3.3 hectares including the breakwater stretching. You can enjoy the nice sea breeze at the park, while having your lunch from the lunch box, and there is also a gallery for exhibition and also a coffee stand. This is a nice place for chilling especially for those working around that area.

Yokohama is a tourist destination that combines fashion, leisure, business and culture. It has rich cultural landscapes but relatively few natural scenery. Yokohama is the most fashionable city in Japan that is not afraid of Japanese style. In my opinion it is very un-Japanese. [Happy][Happy][Happy] Yokohama, the third largest city in Japan after Tokyo and Osaka, is not only the earliest port opened to the outside world in Japan, but also the cradle of modern culture. As an important gateway to the world, Yokohama Port, with its magnificent scale and unique status, has witnessed the integration of Japanese culture with that of various countries. Not only does this place have advanced technology industries, but it also has a harmonious and friendly international atmosphere. As soon as you step into this land, you can deeply feel the vigorous atmosphere of modern high technology. The Ferris wheel rotates, the skyscrapers stand tall, and various buildings and sightseeing cable cars together form a moving picture. Looking for tranquility in the midst of hustle and bustle, Yokohama is undoubtedly a city that exudes a romantic, charming and exotic atmosphere.

#thingstodo This is a relatively new, tiny urban park (more like a rest area) on the site of a former building. It's nice that this was turned into free space rather than just another small residence or shop. There are a few benches, an informational signboard, and a reasonable view to the Minato Mirai area. This park should not be confused with large Zounohana Park across the water, which is further away from the original Zo-No-Hana breakwater than this one is. It might be easier to think of this park as Zo-No-Hana Breakwater Park.
