Rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with modern amenities.They have private balconies with stunning views of the sea or the hill. I stayed in the ocean deluxe king room, which was luxurious and cozy with stunning views of the sea! I loved waking up to the sound of the waves and the sight of the turquoise water. The resort has a salt-water outdoor pool, which is perfect for cooling off after a day of sunbathing or snorkeling. There is also a spa where you can pamper yourself with relaxing massages and treatments. The resort has a PADI dive center, where you can book diving courses or trips to explore the amazing coral reefs and marine life around the island. The resort also offers other activities such as snorkeling, fishing, squid jigging, island hopping, trekking and more. The resort has an indoor and outdoor restaurant, where you can enjoy a variety of dishes from local and international cuisines. #valentinescape The trip was a blast for me and my friends and family. I booked 4 ocean view rooms and they all enjoyed the stay at Mimpi. The staffs are warm and welcoming to us from day 1 to day 4. Except my room there were some faulty on the sink and air conditioning tripped. But the staffs are quick to action and fixed everything. Perhentian Island is a nice holiday destination and a short gateway. It is an ideal spot for friends and families. I’ve really enjoy the beautiful view, clean beach, island hopping and snorkeling. Water looks very clear in every places. There’s a point where you can see the sands inside the water. it makes you feel like swimming on the spot. Thus, I give 5 stars for the view! Most resorts are full. So it was a bit crowded. I’ve stayed at Tuna Bay Resort. Currently, it is a hot place to visit. But, i don’t mind. As long i as i can enjoy my day here. I love Perhentian Islands for the shimmering blue water, snorkeling and diving. Here’s my guide on how to get there, what to do and where to stay: 🛥 Getting there - To get to the Perhentian Islands you’ll need to take a boat from Jetty Kuala Besut. Ferry takes about 30 minutes and tickets cost approximately 30-40MYR. Please make sure to check what boat you’re taking, once I took a smaller boat and all of my belongings and me were soaking wet, all of my devices were ruined and the boat company didn’t take responsibility. Take a bigger boat or one where you’re covered. To get to the Jetty Kuala Besut, take a taxi from Kuala Terengganu Airport and to get to Kuala Terengganu, buy plane tickets from Kuala Lumpur ✈️ 🏨 Hotels - not all of the hotels on Perhentian Islands can be booked in advance, only the good once. If you require good standard, stay at the Perhentian Islands Resort. If you’d like to experience local culture, you can choose a guesthouse from the list of places they give you once you arrive on the island. They are very rustic so I always book in advance. You can also camp there, there are accommodations that provide camping equipment. 🐠 Attractions - Diving and snorkeling 🤿 are the most popular attractions on the Perhentian Islands, there are a lot of corals so you can see a lot of fish and other sea creatures under the water. 🍲 Restaurants - the restaurants are all very rustic, I recommend ordering local dishes such as Nasi Goreng Ayam (Chicken Fried Rice) and Nasi Lemak (Butter Rice with Chilli Sauce, anchovies and peanuts). my first trip without my husband, but all is so good, we can go for snorkeling, trekking, and watch the turtle on the beach. the food are fresh from suppliers fir example fish, lobster, squid, etc. on the night we walking at the long beach to see the fire show are so amazing but need to pay the table for the show. the water taxi also have to bring you round the island or going to fishing’s village or pulau besar near with pulau kecil. the water you can see is so clear and clean in the island people say blue crystal ocean. sounds quite good right? you can see the fish around you when you go for the snorkeling in the morning##staycation #summervacation #beaches

Perhentian Island gonna be one of my favourite location for staycation. I’ve been there so many times. Never a refuse for this place. I love all the things here. No need a luxurious and famous resort to get a nice view. I’ve stayed at Cozy Island Resort which really affordable around RM300 +++. They also provide a really nice food with a reasonable price. If you wanna take a walk, can just go through the beach from the hotel to another one. Also, you can watch the stunning view of sunset. If you love marine activities, can choose scuba diving or snorkeling. It’s really nice for you to off your day with a great ambience.

There are a number of islands for a short getaway in West Malaysia if you dont wish to travel far away in another country. Perhentian island is located in Terengganu, under an hour by flight, 8 hours by bus from KL. From KT you will have to take a 30 mins boat ride to the island. I like Perhentian because it is inexpensive, beautiful, has different spots (Perhential besar, perhentian kecil) for different purposes (snorkelling, diving, proper beach time etc)..it makes up of a huge area..so even if there are a lot of people..it doesnt feel crowded. The island has beautiful marine life, crystal clear water and good trekking trails. There are plenty of hotels to choose from that caters to your budget, retaurants and souvenir shops.
