- Basic Information
- Location: Located in the middle of the "Golden Coast" of Fujian Province, 40 km southeast of downtown Putian, facing Quangang and Hui'an in Quanzhou to the west and the Taiwan Strait to the east.
- Area and Topography: The island has a land area of 14.35 square kilometers, a coastline of 30.4 kilometers, a length of about 9.78 kilometers from north to south, and a width of about 1 kilometer from east to west. The topography is mainly hilly and flat, with the highest point being Niutou Mountain at the northern end, with an elevation of 93.7 meters.
- Climate: The island has a subtropical maritime monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 19.9 degrees Celsius, no severe cold in winter, and no extreme heat in summer, but typhoons, droughts, and other disastrous weather may occur.

- Mazu Ancestral Temple: The world's first Mazu temple and the origin of Mazu culture.
