48-hour guide to 40 restaurants in Quzhou, the capital of carbohydrates
In order to eat authentic Quzhou duck head, I bravely traveled to Quzhou for 48 hours and started a foodie journey. It turns out that there are really no attractions in Quzhou, so you just need to bring a 512G stomach. The following shopping and eating routes are in order. Transportation 🉑 Take a taxi or bike
-
🔺DAY1: Arrive at Quzhou Station and go to the hotel to store your luggage (stay near Shuitingmen)
1️⃣ Xiao Lao Wang Restaurant: The stinky tofu and duck feet and snails are super delicious. There are no pre-prepared dishes. They are all Quzhou specialty home-cooked dishes.
2️⃣ Yangjiaxiang sesame cake (freshly made, delicious), Guohua duck head (duck neck is not delicious, duck head and duck feet are good)
3️⃣Tianning Temple (Thousand Buddha Pavilion is very spectacular), Confucius Temple (it would be boring without explanation), Quzhou Museum (there is a dinosaur fossil exhibition hall, but the space is not very large, you can learn about the history of Quzhou)
4️⃣Go to Shuitingmen to find delicious food, such as Uncle Zhou's baked cake (opened by Zhou Xun's relatives, but the taste is average), Wang steamed buns (steamed buns are super delicious, other snacks are optional), Nan Kong Grandpa's study (a holy place for taking photos and checking in), Wutong Coffee (special blends are very flavorful, and desserts are also good)
5️⃣ Kaihua Local Cuisine Restaurant (a must-order secret fish, an old shop with a lively atmosphere)
6️⃣ Eat supper at Mazhandi, Lao Pei duck head (delicious, moderately spicy), Juhua Lei Ji spicy hot pot (very expensive, the sweet and spicy sauce is really super sweet)
-
🔺DAY2:1️⃣Have breakfast at Mazhandi. There are few people in Mazhandi in the morning. Fushan tofu pudding (you must have fried dough sticks with the bag cake), Gaojia gourmet breakfast (delicious fried dumplings), Xiduozi crystal cake (popular glutinous rice dumpling soup), Huizhen vegetable buns (not delicious, very ordinary), Suqin egg rolls (very regular, the egg fragrance is not strong), Dongbaba naan (stinky tofu is better than naan), Quzong Zong (soft and glutinous with plenty of fillings), Aizhen vermicelli duck head (similar to Lao Pei), Mantianxiang duck head (very spicy, if you can eat spicy food, choose this one)
2️⃣We had lunch at Biaobei Lane. There were few popular stir-fry tables but many people were waiting, so the queues took a long time. Taizhou pickled shrimp (very fishy, not tasty), 668 spicy hot pot (spicy hot pot with sesame sauce, a must-try)
3️⃣ Quzhou Auditorium (very photogenic, suitable for couples to take photos), the deer area is charged, there is no vast lawn, so you don’t need to go, Yu Coffee (aesthetic ancient style coffee shop)
4️⃣ Have dinner at Shuitingmen, Zhang Deqi egg pancake (rich in scallion flavor), Linjianyue (Chinese bistro, Quzhou beautiful rice), eat and visit Shuitingmen at night, Kaluka caviar ice cream (very unique, worth trying)
-
🔺DAY3:1️⃣Eat breakfast at Songyuan Market. There are few people at 6 o'clock in the morning on holidays. We have Ladai Biscuits (not as delicious as Mazhandi), Lingbaobao (Chinese egg burger with plenty of ingredients), Duze Sausage (fishy and not delicious), Jiangnan Yijue Fried Buns (not delicious, the boss has a fierce attitude), Lanxi Fried Dumplings (handmade fried dumplings, but the taste is average), Meixian Wontons (handmade small wontons, not much filling)
2️⃣Go back to the hotel to catch up on sleep and get up to have lunch. Nilu Coffee (a coffee shop with a movie feel), Qingmu (beautiful Western-style food), and then return home
