I liked our visit at Tanzan Jinjia. It is a very quiet place surrounded by nature and located on the side of a small hill. The ascent to the top is very peaceful and from there you will have a nice view. To get to the top the train in the forest is also a picturesque one. When we were there not many people were visiting which made it a better experience. Close to the entrance there is a parking spot if you are coming with a car but we used the one located next to the convenience store which was free and empty considering that there were not many people around. #japantrip

Hasedera is the head temple of the Buzan sect of Shingon Buddhism, located in Hatsuse, Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture. The building called 'Gachirin-in,' located halfway up the stairs from the Niomon Gate, has been turned into a cafe. We took a break here during our visit. It was a beautiful spot with a view of the mountains and the temple grounds adorned with red and yellow maple leaves. While enjoying the beautiful scenery, we had a seasonal oden. “Katsui” restaurant is located on Yamanobe Hill, which is famous for being an old mountain path in Nara Prefecture, Japan. This small shop sells not only its food, but also its own vegetables and fruits, frozen foods, seasonings, souvenirs, and postcards. Hikers love to stop by here to have a meal. There aren’t many menus here, mostly set lunch/dinner. The menu may differ each day, depending on the ingredients in season. We chose a set lunch of fried shrimp and grilled beef for 2,400 yen, with free milk ice cream. We chose to sit at an outdoor table because we could see the entire city view, and the outdoor seating area was surrounded by cherry trees. Hasedera Temple is a large center located in the southeast of Nara City. This temple was first built in 686 AD during the time when Buddhism arrived in Japan. At that time, bronze plates with images of towers and brought from mainland Asia were enshrined here. When we arrived, we bought tickets to enter the temple at the entrance. The entrance fee is 500 yen for junior high school students to adults (if you also want to see the Kannon, buy a combined ticket for 1,300 yen). After buying, we walked up the 399 steps and 200 meters long. I would like to warn you that if you have bad knees, we walked and rested for quite a while before reaching the top floor. Along the way, There are places to sit and rest along the way, and there are trees and changing leaves for you to stop and take pictures at intervals. When you walk up to the top floor, you will see a statue of the Goddess of Mercy with 11 faces. This Goddess of Mercy was built in the Muromachi period. When you walk inside, you will see a place for training, as well as a resting area and a library building used by monks. Outside on the terrace, you can see a wide view of the valley below. This view is especially beautiful in spring when the cherry blossoms bloom, and when the leaves change color in autumn. Looking up, you will see a red pagoda covered with changing leaves. It is a very beautiful view.
