turtle park place is place that you can see the turtle feed them and touch them. a few different species of turtle they showed here. They also rehabilitate injured turtles that are found in the wild here. You will be able to see the turtle hatchlings here. Proboscis monkeys are known as one of the ten ugliest animals in the world. After visiting the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary in Sandakan and seeing the proboscis monkeys up close, I don’t think so. This time I went to Sandakan, and I went to the market in the morning to eat the legendary slingshot noodles ~ RM10, added an egg, the noodles were super chewy, it really lived up to its reputation! 😋 I also tried the curry fish noodles, RM18, which was fragrant and smooth, and the fish #sandakan was also tender. It was super satisfying to eat this in the morning ~🍜 After eating, I went to the [Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary] to see the super cute proboscis monkeys! Then I found out - huh? Why are some noses long, some short, and some particularly large? 🧐 I checked online and found that the size of the nose is related to these factors: 👨🦰 1. Gender The male's nose is the largest and most droopy, which is the "charming weapon" to attract females! The noses of females and young monkeys are relatively short. 🧬 2. Genetic differences Just like humans have high and flat noses, each monkey's nose will also be different due to different genes. 📈 3. Age Young monkeys have short noses, but when they grow up, especially males, their noses will get longer and longer, and the longer they are, the more "manly" they are. 👑 4. Social status In a monkey group, the higher the status of the male, the bigger his nose is, which means he is stronger and has an advantage! ✅ To summarize: Reason Description Gender Males have big noses, while females/young monkeys have small noses Age The older they are, the longer their noses Genes Individual differences lead to different sizes Status Big nose = symbol of higher status 📍If you have the chance to come to Sandakan, remember to arrange time to see these "long-nosed handsome guys"! #cityplaybook Sandakan Sports Complex is my leisure place every morning and evening. In the morning and evening I will come for leisure such as jogging. Sandakan Sports Complex is the choice of the majority the Sandakan community because here is the main leisure center where various activities can be done such as football, futsal, netball, basketball, takraw, petanque, swimming and many more. no This complex also has beautiful and calming vibes. In the morning the air is so comfortable and fresh air.

#cityplaybook 10.00 am - We left on our way from the hotel. 10.30 am - We arrived at the location. We visited the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. This center is located on Jalan Sepilok Batu 14, Sandakan just adjacent to the Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Upon arrival, we went to the ticket counter to pay for the entrance ticket to the center. Parking is very easy to find in this area. The equipment here is very complete for the sun bear since the size of this forest area that is used as the center is enough for the needs and welfare of the sun bear here. This center was opened to the public in 2014. The community can get to know the sun bear and its natural habitat better. Instead, there was no specific feeding time at this center. It is based on our luck when we came here. 12.00 pm - Finished and returned to the hotel. 🕕The operating hours of this center are 9.00 am - 3.30 pm.

Walking 20 meters up on a wobbly bridge, I clung to the ropes while my brave friend laughed at me. 🫣 But the view? **UNREAL.** Saw a family of macaques playing tag in the treetops, and the sunrise colors peeking through the leaves? *Chef’s kiss.* ### **Hidden Gem: The Quiet Pond at RDC** Most people rush to the main trails, but the **hidden pond near the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC)** was magic. We flew into Sandakan and headed to our meeting point at the Orangutan rehav centre. A van and a boat into the jungle done the Kinabatangan river at Uncle Tan's jungle camp. We dodged crocodile to fish for some catfish and saw some orangutan in the wild. Some funky creatures through the jungle where without a guide we would definitely get lost. Amazing place to see unique endemic animals. A real bucket list experience for the intrepid traveller.

#traveldiaries Good place to relax and enjoy the fresh cold river. A better place than tawai since its quite unknown and a bit isolated. Place is well kept and clean toilet provided. Definite recommendation for a weekend daytrip. The water is crystal clear. If you bring goggles along for swimming, you can actually see and swim with the fishes. Worth for a visit.

It is a steep, but a relatively short route. There are several viewpoints where you can take a break. If you run during the day, there is a lot of full sun on the route so SPF is recommended. #traveldiaries Located at Sejati Walk, behind Mydin. I'm not sure if you can see it from the main road. This cafe is so aesthetic and the interior design is very nice. They serve drinks & western food and some local food too. The price is still considerable too and their food and drinks are worth the money. Since this place is located far from the main City, it's not too crowded and gives you privacy. A good place to sit back and just chill. And yes, they have cakes and Croissants too. I've tried the Croissant and they are really good.

They always seem to have sports events every evening, like football, hockey, basketball and rugby matches. The swimming pool is also very popular! Those who love track-and-field will be happy to know that the Sport Complex has one recently resurfaced track too. Facilities are in great condition, and the online booking is simple and easy to follow.
