From April to September, Glencoe offers the most comfortable travel season, renowned for its majestic valleys and towering peaks. The Glencoe Valley stretches approximately 12 miles and features 8 Munros, mountains with elevations exceeding 3,000 feet. It is one of Scotland's oldest landscapes, formed from the remnants of a volcanic crater dating back 450 million years. The famous Three Sisters viewpoint is located along the A82 road near Ballachulish, about 4 miles west of the Glencoe Visitor Centre.
The rolling green hills of the Glencoe National Nature Reserve have gained fame as filming locations, especially for scenes in the Harry Potter series and James Bond's "Skyfall."
The Glencoe Visitor Centre is nestled in the enchanting wilderness of the Scottish Highlands and is a must-visit destination. Underneath the peaks lies the solitary white house known as Lagangarbh Hut. Once a craftsman's residence, it is now owned by the National Trust and the Scottish Mountaineering Club. This mysterious little white house is one of Glencoe's most popular photography spots, attracting thousands of photographers and visitors annually.

🚗 Driving is the most convenient way to reach Glencoe. It takes about 2 hours from Inverness or Glasgow and approximately 3 hours from Edinburgh.
✈️ Fly into one of the airports in Inverness, Glasgow, or Edinburgh, then take a train or bus to Fort William or Bridge of Orchy. From there, a 30-minute bus ride will take you to Glencoe. The Glencoe Visitor Centre is a 5-minute drive along the A82 road. If you're not driving, you can take a taxi to reach the destination.
