As a senior hiking enthusiast, I have categorized these lakes according to their difficulty levels and compiled them into a guide to help you choose the route that suits you best. > **Beginner routes: > * **Eibsee:** Hiking around the lake takes about 1 hour and 50 minutes. The best time to visit is from June to October. It is low difficulty and suitable for family outings. > * **Walchensee:** It is recommended to spend 3-4 hours here. You can cycle around the lake. It is low difficulty and suitable for children. > * **Tegernsee:** A stroll along the lake takes about 4-5 hours. It is suitable for all seasons, low difficulty, and a good choice for leisure and relaxation. > * **Alpsee:** Hiking around the lake takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. October is the best time to visit. It is low difficulty, with a few gravel slopes. > **Advanced routes (choose with caution): > * **Schrecksee:** One-way hike takes at least 3 hours. The best time to visit is from July to September. It is high difficulty, with many gravel slopes, requiring professional hiking shoes. Not recommended for beginners. > **Transportation: > * **Eibsee:** Take RB6 from Munich Central Station Platform 27 to Garmisch, then transfer to bus 9840. The journey takes 2 hours and 23 minutes. > * **Walchensee:** Take RB66 from Munich Central Station Platforms 27-33 to Kochel Station, then transfer to bus 9608. > * **Tegernsee:** Take RB57 from Munich Central Station Platform 33. The journey takes 1 hour and 10 minutes. > * **Alpsee:** Take the train from Munich Central Station Platform 31 and transfer to bus 73/78 to Neuschwanstein Station. The journey takes about 3 hours. > * **Schrecksee:** The route is complex and requires multiple transfers. The signal in the mountains is poor, so it is recommended to download offline maps. 🏨🌟 Holiday Inn Munich-South - IHG 📍 Address: Kistlerhofstrasse 142, Munich, Bavaria, Germany For this trip to Munich, we chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Munich-South. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station. There are also train and bus stations nearby, making it easy to get to the city center and surrounding attractions. 🏡 The Holiday Inn Munich-South boasts a superb location, not far from the city center yet away from the hustle and bustle. The hotel was recently renovated, and the interior is modern, simple, and comfortable. The lobby is very spacious with upscale decor, and there are some lounge areas and game consoles, making you feel at home. The front desk staff were polite and efficient during check-in. Not to mention, the restaurant and bar facilities here are also very good, with a wide selection of delicious food.👍 🛏️👉 We opted for a standard double room, which was a good size and very clean. The room layout is well-designed, with complete amenities and a balcony for enjoying the sun. The bed is comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. In addition, the shower has great water pressure, which is very relaxing. While there's no free high-speed Wi-Fi in the room, basic Wi-Fi is included in the booking fee. For families, the hotel offers family rooms with a double bed and a single bed, which is an ideal choice. 🍽️🍺 There are several good restaurants near the hotel: For those who love Mediterranean cuisine, try Taverne Likavitos and Taverna Limani; for Italian food lovers, Rosso Mille Miglia is a good choice; and for African flavors, visit Savanna. We highly recommend Restaurant Jasmin, which offers a wide variety of dishes and excellent flavors. 🚶🌳 We also took some time to explore the neighborhood. About a 15-minute walk away is Lake Tegernsee, a picturesque spot perfect for strolling and relaxing. If you enjoy shopping, there are grocery stores, electronics stores, and furniture stores nearby that won't disappoint. Overall, the Holiday Inn Munich-South added a lot of comfort and convenience to our trip, making for a very pleasant stay.🌟✨

Tegernsee is a short train ride away from munich offering an easy hike with stunning views of a lake in between mountains and of the swiss alps! Journey to Tegernsee starts by taking a train from Regensburg Hbf to Tegernsee station. It takes around 3-4 hours including transit at Munich for a train change. If you’re in Bavaria, consider taking the advantage of Bayern ticket where it cost you 27€ for a return journey using any regional train and bus within the day. But here’s a pro tip you can share up to 5 person for a train tix and it will be adding +8€ per person and if you divide it among you it will be much cost effective. Be mesmerised by Lake Tegernsee! It's my first time to Germany: my husband's cousin, Cindy, and her groom, Alex, invited us to their wedding held at Leeberhof, Tegernsee. I love Tegernsee! We did not know that it was so beautiful there until we reached the lake. The view at Lake Tegernsee is breathtaking. Had coffee and vegan cake for breakfast at Aran Cafe by the lake. Of course we also took this opportunity to visit other parts of Bavaria in Germany, like Nurnberg, Furth, Bamberg, Munich, and the famous Oktoberfest!

After a big lunch, I came to a lake in Bavarian holiday, Taigen Lake. The most rustic thing is this group of cows. The taste of German milk is still very good. Look at the living environment of the cows, you may know that maybe the mood is good, the milk taste is definitely not wrong.
