2025 Tel Aviv Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)
Known for its 24 hour-a-day hustle and bustle atmosphere, Tel Aviv’s nonstop attitude gives it the sense of a much larger city like New York or Tokyo. Although you'll find thousands of locals and tourists enjoying the Mediterranean coastline, climate and café culture, Tel Aviv is not in your average beach vacation. While Tel Aviv is just over 100 years old, the southern area of Jaffa is home to one of the oldest port in the world. Take a look at the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora to learn about the history of Jewish culture. Shoppers should head to Sheinken Street, where the hip and beautiful dictate Israeli style. Buy outfit here for the nightclubs; Tel Aviv pulsates 'til the wee hours. Care for a quieter evening? Tel Aviv is known for its international smorgasbord of excellent restaurants. A wide range of sleeping options, including soulful hotels and economical hostels (many with double and private room) means there's something for every budget.

Best value capsule hotel in Tel Aviv
I stayed in a capsule hotel along the beach for two nights in Tel Aviv.
Israel is an extremely expensive country and hotels are ridiculously expensive...
This time I found a capsule hotel that was clean, comfortable, and had the best value for money, so I stayed there.
The capsule hotel's cabins are actually made in Japan.
The inside was also very clean and comfortable.
The shared spaces, showers, and toilets were also clean.
The beach was right in front of me, and there was a terrace, which was great.
All this cost about 5,000 yen a night.

Tel Aviv's Jaffa Port, the oldest port in the world
📍Jaffa Port, Tel Aviv, Israel
◽️Jaffa Port is said to be the oldest port in the world. There are many convenience stores, restaurants, and clubs around it, so it has become a tourist attraction now.
I looked around the area around the port more than the port itself.
◽️Personally, I felt like there was a certain street that had a strong Middle Eastern feel.
◽️Tel Aviv itself is not that big, so if you ride a bike and go around for 2-3 days, you can see almost everything. I also rode a bike to Jaffa Port, and it was worth it except for the uphill climb😆

Ancient Jaffa - Israel
Not far from Tel Aviv lies Jaffa which is a beautiful historical part of the city.
Jaffa is within walking distance from Tel Aviv and the architecture gives Mediterranean vibes. There is quite a big flea market there where you can buy lots of different products ranging from food to art. The people that I encountered there were very friendly and nice. Most of Jaffa is coastal and you can take some great pictures. #Israel #bucketlistreboot #2023travelwish #Jaffa

Old Jaffa is steeped in history
The old city of Jaffa is located in the south of Tel Aviv, yet is walkable from most areas of the city. Its history dates back centuries and was a landing point for most coming to Palestine via the sea. It is unique as a melting pot of many different faiths, Muslim, Jewish, and Christian neighbours all living together. Highly recommend Jaffa for a half day activity spent wandering the sights! #israel #telaviv #middle_east

ISRAEL IDYLLIC - Sheraton Tel Aviv
ISRAEL IDYLLIC - Sheraton Tel Aviv
By the time I got here, I was a little mentally wonky from my crappy journey 👿
I felt my sanity came back to me with a vengeance upon stepping into this new and modern Sheraton ❤️
Oh what a lovely property this is 🔥
Being welcomed by a bright modern ceiling marked the beginning of a great stay. My room was the new born entity of the Sheraton brand in its cheery seaside theme - cushy bed, chilling chairs, TV with generous channels, awfully decadent bathroom, and an awesome view of the season neighborhood.
Being able to have a cup of freshly made pod coffee in this space was my system’s kickstart 🎖️
BUT then I fell sick.
And so began the limited experience of eating plain pita bread and falafels in my room, dying in bed wishing I was home, and trying to keep myself sane by bingeing on Netflix. 🤢
I thank my lucky starts that I had this room to be sick in though - it helped in my recovery enough for me to get home thereafter in one piece.
I wish I had a more complete experience but maybe next time! ⏰

Israeli specialty hummus
Address: King George St 81, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
Ambience/Facilities: Near Tel Aviv Port
Features: This small shop looks inconspicuous, but it has high reviews on Google Maps, which made me want to try it. The waiter recommended my signature hummus, which is a Middle Eastern specialty. After the meal was served, I couldn't stop eating it. Hummus is really delicious with pita. I also ordered a salad to round out the meal. I highly recommend it. If you come to Israel, you must try it.

A Gem in Israel - Tel Aviv Museum of Art
Highlight - The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is the largest cultural and art institution in the State of Israel and is ranked among the world's leading art and archaeology museums. The museum has a collection of nearly 500,000 objects, representing a full scope of Israel and world material culture.
One of the highlights is the Shrine of the Book, which contains the Dead Sea Scrolls, the oldest biblical manuscripts in existence. When I visited there, I spent almost half of my time appreciating this ancient manuscript and it was simply fascinating.
Make sure to put this museum on your list when you visit. You will be blessed with a sea of knowledge of Israel arts and the place it has earned in the world.

The ancient city of Jaffa, Israel | A microcosm of thousands of years of history
The original meaning of the name Jaffa is beauty, and it may be named after its founder, Noah's son Japheth. The ancient city of Jaffa has a very long history, with artifact records of human habitation dating back to approximately 7500 BC. Since the Bronze Age, Jaffa has been used by humans because of its natural harbor topography.
The Old Town complex includes residential buildings as well as alleys on the western and southern slopes of the Old Town of Jaffa (located on the slope of the northern slope of the Garden), as well as the summit of the Garden at the head of Kedumim Square. Also included is the port of Jaffa, located on the pontoon seawall.

The official capital of Israel is Jerusalem.
However, some say that Tel Aviv is the capital in terms of international status.
Tel Aviv is a coastal city where Israel's main airport is located,
and compared to other regions, the city is more developed and is a young and vibrant city.
Most people who come to Israel from other countries must pass through Tel Aviv.

Stayed at the "Carlton Tel Aviv Hotel" for a few days in Tel Aviv, Israel. On one side of the hotel is the beachfront marina and on the side of the Gan Haatzmaut Park. Each room has a private balcony overlooking the sea or the city. Although the interior of the room is not particularly spacious, it is very cozy and comfortable, and all facilities are available. In addition, there is a wide variety of buffet breakfasts, including champagne and caviar, and you can enjoy the sea view while enjoying the food. It feels great!
The Old To
The Old Town of Jaffa on the Mediterranean Sea is an ancient city with a history of more than 4,000 years and one of the earliest port trade cities in the world. This ancient millennium city has been mentioned many times in the Bible. For thousands of years, the Romans, Greeks, Crusaders, Turks, Arabs and other countries have invaded the army. The Old City of Jaffa has also staged a history of alternating ups and downs. Nowadays, the old town, which has experienced thousands of years of wind and rain, is surrounded by trees, trees and windows. Every building and every corner is telling the past...
"Jaffa" is Hebrew The homonym of the word "beautiful", because the scenery here is excellent and picturesque, it still maintains the simple appearance of the millennium. Most of the streets and towns of the ancient city are composed of stone houses. They are built according to the ups and downs of the terrain. They are full of vicissitudes of history and are particularly charming in the blue Mediterranean embrace.

Tel Aviv is a city that never stops — where the sun kisses the Mediterranean and the streets pulse with creativity and life. From the buzzing markets to the endless beach vibes, it’s a place where every corner surprises you. The nightlife is electric, the food scene unforgettable, and the people unapologetically themselves. Here, history and modernity dance together, and you feel like anything is possible. Tel Aviv isn’t just a city — it’s an attitude, a lifestyle, and an open invitation to live boldly. 🌞🌊✨
Beach club at Tel Aviv
📍Address: Tel Aviv Beach
💰Average price per person: 2000 THB
💞Recommended reason: Located opposite the beach in Tel Aviv. The atmosphere is very good, not too hot in May.
Tel Aviv: Hummus, Heatwaves & Hot People
Tel Aviv isn’t a city. She’s a situationship.
Gorgeous, intense, slightly toxic — and you know you’ll go back anyway.
I touched down and instantly started sweating… not sure if it was the actual heat or the hot population density.
Like seriously, who told them all to be this tan, this confident, and this good at eye contact?
• Breakfast: shakshuka and someone’s son.
• Afternoon: sweating through linen, flirting in broken English, falling in love over iced coffee.
• Night: tequila, techno, and texting my bestie “I’m never leaving.”
The beach? Immaculate.
The energy? Horny.
The people? Look like they do Pilates and politics.
And Jaffa? Feels like the backdrop of a historical drama where I have forbidden lovers and a mysterious past life as a spice trader.
By 2 a.m., I was barefoot, on a rooftop, listening to deep house and reconsidering every life decision I’ve ever made — in the best way.
Tel Aviv isn’t just hot. She’s humid, holy, and high-key unhinged.

Tel Aviv Fashion Market ~ Buy Souvenirs + Food
#MarchGoodPlaces2025
#Israel #Tel Aviv
This is an air-conditioned indoor market.
There are food courts, restaurants and specialty shops in the venue.
I ordered the traditional Middle Eastern food at the food court: the hummus combo, which was very delicious and reasonably priced.
After dinner, you can visit the small shops here. Each shop has a different decoration and characteristics. They sell spices, dried fruits, candies, cheese, and fresh food.
I bought some traditional desserts here as souvenirs.
Although this market is not as traditional as the Camel Market, I actually like this market because it is clean and cool, and I can also experience the life of local young people.
