After a brief tour of Donghu, I came out of the north gate of Donghu and crossed the road to the 'Xiong Zhen Dong Nan' archway. There are 198 long and steep steps leading directly to the Lansheng Gate, but fortunately, there are several platforms in the middle where you can rest. There is also a more gentle and winding route to choose from. After the Lansheng Gate, there is a relatively flat section, but to go up to Baiyun Tower, you still need to climb, especially the 'Hundred Steps Steep' is the steepest.
