A Cup of Coffee, A Moment of Literary Bliss
I took my son to Yangmingshan to see Sulfur Valley over the weekend. The weather was unbelievably good, so we decided to stroll around Tianmu. Of course, while in Tianmu, I had to buy cakes from my favorite shop, 'Eat and See,' to take home! Suddenly, I remembered the 'Window Cafe' nearby, which had been on my list for a while, so we decided to visit on a whim.
'Window Cafe,' as the name suggests, welcomes sunlight through large floor-to-ceiling windows, bringing the lush street view indoors and creating a bright and comfortable atmosphere. It's so beautiful! One wall is filled with books and records, and there's a record player, though I'm not sure if it still works. There are also several signed baseballs next to the counter, which is quite unique.
We were lucky to get a sofa seat by the window. I ordered a hot latte, took a sip, and it had a hint of fruity and floral notes. Not bad, it passed the test👌.
The minimum order is one drink or meal, so my son chose an apple pie. I wanted to try their signature tiramisu, but unfortunately, it was sold out. The daily handmade cakes listed on the chalkboard all looked delicious🤤, perfect to pair with coffee.
Here, you can quietly read a book, have a soft conversation with friends, or simply gaze out the window and enjoy the rare urban greenery.
