[Nagano Prefecture/Togakushi Shrine Kuzuryu Shrine, one of the five shrines of Togakushi Shrine]
#Travelwithme #Togakushi #TogakushiShrine #Kuzuryusha #Yasuijinnotaki
Togakushi Shrine is made up of five shrines:
1. Hokosha
2. Hinomikosha
3. Chusha
4. Kuzuryusha
5. Okusha
The fourth shrine, Kuzuryusha, is located very close to the fifth shrine, Okusha⛩️It was only a few minutes walk away, so I was able to visit both🙏
Kuzuryusha is revered as the god of water, water mouth, bountiful harvest, protection from evil, tooth decay, and matchmaking⛩️
After visiting the shrine, which is surrounded by beautiful greenery, a 30-minute walk from the large torii gate, I was able to calm my mind with the gentle sounds of the nearby "Yasuijinnotaki" waterfall✨I felt refreshed!

[Nagano Prefecture / Togakushi Shrine Okusha: Experience a sense of accomplishment after spending 30 minutes walking along the nature-filled approach to the shrine]

Starting from the "Otorii gate of Togakushi Shrine, Okusha", about 30 minutes walk along the approach to the "Okusha Shrine, Okusha" is where you'll find it⛩️
The road from the "Otorii gate" to the "Cedar Trees" was flat, so it was easy to walk, but from the area where you pass through the "Cedar Trees" to the "Okusha", there was a continuous uphill slope and stairs. I recommend wearing comfortable sneakers when visiting.
The first half of the visit was refreshing as I looked at the beautiful scenery, but the second half was full of uphill slopes and stairs, and I was a little out of breath.
However, when I finally arrived at the "Togakushi Shrine Okusha"⛩️, I felt a great sense of accomplishment✨

"Togakushi Shrine Okusha Cedar Avenue" is a mysterious old road with large cedar trees over 400 years old lining both sides of the approach to the shrine🌲
There were cedar trees with holes in their trunks, cedar trees with intricately intertwined roots, and cedar trees covered in moss.
The view of the sunlight filtering through the solemn cedar trees was indescribably beautiful✨
The cedar avenue here is a power spot that is familiar from TV commercials!

After walking for about 15-20 minutes through the beautiful fresh greenery from the "Togakushi Shrine Okusha Torii", you will see a red building.
Young leaves sprouted on the roof, and the sunlight shining through the trees was a mystical sight🌿✨The view made me feel as if I had escaped reality and wandered into a world of stories.
This is also the point where the footpath leading from "Togakushi Forest Botanical Garden" to "Okusha" joins.

"Togakushi Shrine Okusha Otorii Gate⛩️" is quietly standing in the vibrant greenery as you walk along the sidewalk from the bus stop🚏"Togakushi Okusha Entrance" or the parking lot to the Okusha🌿
In mid-May, the snow has melted and the season of beautiful fresh greenery has arrived. Streams flow on both sides of the sidewalk, and the buds of the plants have begun to sprout, allowing you to enjoy nature to the fullest✨

Togakushi Shrine, Nagano Japan ❄️❄️❄️
Nagano is a prefecture with many majestic mountains and beautiful natural scenery. Togakushi-jinja Shinto Shrine is one of them. Walking through the snowy paths and praying at the shrines gave me a very interesting spiritual experience. Especially the road leading to Togakushi-okusha Shrine with 2 rows of old pine trees with foliage covered with snow is a great photo spot. The photo number 1,2,3,9 in this post were taken here. I feel like I can spend hours walking under these trees to feel their beauty and sacredness.
There are 2 ways to go to Okusha(奥社), an easy asphalt road and a snowy road that is a bit difficult but the winter scenery is wonderful. You can see the snow-covered mountains and walking through the snow-covered paths making you feel like you're in a fairy tale. it took us about 45 minutes to walk from Chusha(中社) to Okusha(奥社), it’s a little bit tired but you will find that snowy road is worth the trip.
I hope you would have a great time traveling to Nagano ❄️🧡✨
