[Salinas Grandes | A white world that continues to the horizon, a special stage given to us by nature]
— Approximately 12,000ha in area, approximately 3,500m above sea level. A salt plain with an impressive white land that continues endlessly —
The salt layers formed by repeated crustal movements, rain, and evaporation over many years have formed a pure white surface, and it is also called the "Uyuni of South America." On sunny days, the contrast between the infinite white and the blue of the sky is the best .

📍[Location]
Access by car or tour from Purmalcalmar or Salta City in Jujuy Province via Ruta 52 (distance approximately 70km / time approximately 1.5 hours)
🕰[Recommended time]
During the dry season (May to December), the salt surface is hard and beautiful. During the rainy season (January to March), the water fills the area and it becomes a mirror-like surface! The light from morning to afternoon brings out the charm of the scenery.

🎒Tips and advice
• 3,500m above sea level, dry, strong winds, and strong UV rays: jacket, long pants, hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses are essential!
• You can go to the back with a guided "Ojo del Salar" tour (about 45 minutes / guide fee is separate)
• Facilities are limited, so it is safe to prepare food, drink, and toilets in advance: don't forget snacks, water, and cash
• If you visit during off-peak times in the morning or early afternoon, there will be fewer people and it will be easier to take photos!
