My first time in Laos was overland from Thailand. My favorite city in Laos is Vientiane! A city in the middle of the countryside with nature and tourists. I rented a motorbike and went to the Blue Lagoon and mountain climbing. There were motorbikes and airplanes at the top of the mountain, and many foreigners at the photo spot! There were a lot of Westerners. There are 1 to 3 Blue Lagoons, so you can go to them according to your preference, or you can go to all of them! There is a fee to use the mountain and the lagoon, but it's only about 200 yen! It's very cost-effective. Also, I was surprised to see so many Koreans, because there was Korean everywhere! I enjoyed reading Korean, too. The food was super cheap and delicious! It suits Japanese people. The sandwiches are about 200 yen each, full of ingredients, and sold everywhere. I ate them every day. The grilled meat was delicious, and the smoothies were cheap and delicious. It's sure to be a trip that will make you forget about the weak yen! Laos has a lot of temples as it is a Southeast Asian country. Laos has some very large temples, but you can find small temples in front of each house. The large temples were especially magnificent. we spent five nights staying in the capital off Laos Vientiane with beautiful views off the mekong River. we visited the museum at the former Ho Pha Keo temple. We also visited the beautiful Patuxay monument celebrating Loas independence from the French. Blue Lagoon is another recommended place for everyone to visit when you arrive in Vang Vieng. There are many Blue Lagoons here, but we chose the second one and it was as expected. Vientiane seems to be seeing an increase in state-of-the-art hotels due to urbanization and tourism, but the old-established hotels in the city center provide meticulous service, a sense of security, and a luxurious feeling. I think the Lao Plaza Hotel is one of a kind. When you enter the lobby, you will be greeted by a massive, traditional Lao tower! The front desk staff are also very hospitable, and the check-in is elegant. The location is quiet, but it is only a few minutes' walk from Talat Sao, the bus terminal, and Nambu Square. The breakfast has a wide variety of options. You can also walk to the Mekong River. I was surprised to see how dry it is during the dry season! It's nice to spend some time elegantly in an old-established hotel!

This bakery cafe is located a little way from the center of Vientiane. The exterior and interior are beautiful, and it's frequented by both tourists and people on their lunch breaks at work. I ordered a croissant, cream bun, and Americano for 50,000 kip (about 500 yen), so I guess it's on the cheaper side for a nice cafe. The wifi is about 6-9 mpbs, I think. I personally found it a very comfortable cafe.
