2025 Vietnam Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in March)

🇻🇳 Vietnam travel plan 4 days 3 nights, budget 10,xxx.-/person ☺️We went during June 27-30, 2024, the weather was like Thailand, it rained when we went up to Bana Hills only at night, one night. The rest of the time, the sky was clear, the sun was good, taking beautiful pictures from every angle. ⛰️ ☀️Day 1 📍Leave Don Mueang at 7:25 a.m., arrive at Danang Airport at 9:05 a.m. 📍Guan Hong Pho, stop for breakfast here because I saw a lot of reviews, the food is delicious, except for the Pho menu that we still don't get to. 📍Call Grab to Ba Na Hills Take the cable car up to the French village, Ba Na hills, about 20 minutes to get there (the atmosphere while taking the cable car is beautiful all the way). When we arrived, check in at the Mercure hotel, change clothes, take pictures, walk, see Popmart, play the rides in the Sun World zone (there are a lot of rides, and there are a lot of people as well). Then in the evening, go play in the hotel's pool, only people who sleep up there can enter. Adult and children's pools, hot spring tubs for soaking (bring your swimsuit). After that, go to the Beer Plaza area for dinner. There are many restaurants to choose from, many styles, barbecue, burgers, pizza, etc., but the price is quite high. Most of them accept credit cards. Swipe and enjoy. ☀️Day 2 📍Eat the hotel's breakfast buffet. I must say that there are many foods to choose from, many nationalities, I can't decide. 📍Take the cable car to the Saphan Mai Bridge (I recommend waking up early, around 5-7 am, it will be very good. Go before the tourists from below come up. There will be fewer people and you won't have to fight for a photo spot.) 📍Check out from the Mercure hotel to Hoian. 📍Check in at Son Trang Hotel. There are bicycles for you to borrow. Go to sit on a basket boat at Coconut Forest. We bought a program from the hotel. With a round-trip shuttle 📍Have dinner at Ca Ro Dong Quan Anabas restaurant. This restaurant is highly recommended. The restaurant is beautiful, with a good atmosphere and delicious food at a reasonable price. 📍Walk around the Night Market (not far from the hotel, you can walk there). Every restaurant and cafe is stylish and inviting. ☀️Day 3 📍Ride a bike to take pictures on the rooftop of Faifo coffee. The coconut coffee is really delicious, but you have to order drinks based on the number of people. We went with 6 people, so we had to order 6 glasses. 📍Stop by to buy water at Mot, a popular herbal drink that you have to take pictures of. The water is delicious and fragrant with herbs, very refreshing. 📍Eat nem nuong at a famous restaurant called Bale well. You have to order a set. The taste is average. The owner is cute and friendly. He will teach you how to eat it. 📍Return to the hotel and check out. Call a Grab to Da Nang. 📍Check in at Seahorse Hotel. 📍Go swim and ask for blessings at Linh Ung Pagoda, the largest Guanyin statue in Vietnam. 📍Son tra marina (I planned to go to this restaurant, but!!! The restaurant is closed to VIP guests, so I couldn't go in. What a shame.) 📍Dinner at Be ni 2, a seafood restaurant. You can choose fresh ingredients from the restaurant and have them make a menu for you. Create squid, shrimp, shellfish, crab, fish 📍Dragon bridge (went to see the fire-breathing dragon at 9 pm, but!! That day there were some kind of fireworks celebration, so missed it) 📍Back to the hotel, went up to swim on the rooftop of the hotel, the night view was beautiful and very private 📍Hungry in the middle of the night, walked to eat a burger at McDonald's, which was not far from the hotel (there was a bar & cafe open 24 hours in that area too) ☀️Day 4: Back to Thailand 📍Cong cafe, stopped by for coffee before going back, the shop was beautifully decorated, the staff were lovely 📍Go buy souvenirs at Han market, there are a lot of souvenir snacks, the vendors are good at selling, speak Thai clearly like they were born in Thailand, I recommend the mango jelly, it's delicious 📍Back to the hotel, check out, go to Da Nang airport, return to Thailand 🇻🇳Summary of expenses This trip, there were 6 of us. The total price will be divided by 6. Vinpearl Island in Nha Trang is an absolute delight, offering a plethora of entertainment options and picturesque photo opportunities. The island is filled with castles and vibrant flowers, creating a magical atmosphere akin to a seaside Disneyland. A must-try attraction is the roller coaster, where you can manually control the speed in the latter half and enjoy a panoramic view of the seaside amusement park! I rode it three times, though the lines can be long. It's located on the right as you enter the park. There's also a zip line, but be mindful of the time as it stops at 5 PM, along with all water activities. At 7:30 PM, there's a Tata Show performance, castle light show, and fireworks. #closetonature Roving Chillhouse in Hoi An - we had a truly mind-blowing experience at this cafe which is nestled right in the middle of expansive paddy fields with buffalos wandering by and people relaxing around. Service was fast but it wasn't at all about the food but the serene, peaceful atmosphere that made it unforgettable, like being immersed in nature's calmness. The cafe is usually packed with people just soaking in the breathtaking views, so it is recommended to visit on weekdays. Rating : 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Opening Hours : 7am - 8.30pm, daily. After boarding the cable car, you will go directly to the French Village at the top, one of the most popular destinations in Ba Na Hills, with landmarks such as squares, churches, old villages and hotels, as well as restaurants and amusement parks. Then we came to the most popular Golden Buddha's Hand Bridge. There were so many people that it was difficult to take photos of the aerial view. We all took photos with passers-by. After walking across the bridge, there was a small area next to it that was less crowded. From there, we could get close to the Buddha's Hand Bridge. Take a photo. Price: Tickets + cable car are about $1,000. It is recommended that you buy tickets online to avoid the crowds of people queuing up to buy tickets on site. 【Must-eat food】 1. Restaurant + must-try dishes: Thìa Gỗ I ordered beef rice noodles, fried spring rolls and pancakes. The rice noodles soup is sweet and not salty. The fried spring rolls are crispy and not greasy. The pancakes are super big. They are wrapped with rice paper, lettuce and sauce. They taste delicious. The crispy flavor of the pie crust also has the sweetness of the lettuce, and the filling inside the pie tastes very rich. 2. Restaurant + must-try dishes: Ăn Thôi Restaurant Located next to the Han Market, there were still a lot of people at 3pm. The decoration was very cute. I ordered pineapple fried rice, beef pho, stir-fried water spinach, pancakes and fried spring rolls. The pineapple fried rice actually came with scary three-color vegetables! ! ! But fortunately, after picking them out, they are delicious. The fried water spinach feels a bit unpleasant and too salty, but the other flavors are pretty good. 3. Restaurant + must-try dish: Bánh Mì Phượng French bread Located near the ancient town of Hoi An, there are many people queuing up. The French bread is very crispy, and with the meat and eggs inside, it tastes very good. 【Accommodation recommendation】 Hotel name: voco Ma Belle Danang, an IHG Hotel Hotel address: 168 Võ Nguyên Giáp, Street, Sơn Trà, Đà Nẵng It is located near My Khe Beach. I booked a triple room for three people. I found it difficult to sleep on the bunk beds because the bed was very small and the quilt was very small. Later, I asked the housekeeping staff to give me a large quilt, but the big bed Just slept well. There is an infinity swimming pool, so you can enjoy the sea view while soaking in the water. Price: Three people stay for two nights (Saturday and Sunday), about $11,000.

Visited Vietnam for short trip-Ho Chi Ming Photo 1: A romantic building in Ho Chi Ming-Pink church(Tan Dinh Church) The entire church is painted in a pink colour,this unique church is called Pink Church. Visitors are totally not allowed to enter the church. Photo 2: The legend of Vietnam- The Legend Coffee Vietnam famous with coffee, one of the country that had a lot of coffee shop in the world. Legend Coffee founded in 2011 and is the one that MUST try when travelling in Veitnam. Photo 3,4,5: A quiet Resort in Vùng Tàu, Vietnam-Oceanami 5 star 🌟 holiday resort À huge and beautiful resort, worth to visit here. It was a trip with family to Ho Chi Minh City. We visited many places and restaurants. Just want to share some of my favorite places 😍 We visited reunification palace (Independence Palace). Former presidential palace, key site during the Fall of Saigon in 1975. If you are visiting, I would advice you to join a guided tour to learn about its history. 💰 VND 40,000 (approx. USD 1.70) 📍135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1 We also visited War Remnants Museum. It Exhibits on the Vietnam War, including photos, artifacts, and military equipment. Some exhibits may be graphic; best for those prepared for intense historical content. 💰VND 40,000 (approx. USD 1.70) 📍28 Vo Van Tan, Ward 6, District 3 We also explored the Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon. French-colonial cathedral, iconic twin towers. If you prefer to take lots of pictures 📸 like me, I would advise you to visit in the morning for good lighting. 📍Ben Nghe Ward, District 1 We also visited the Saigon Central Post Office. After playing in Hanoi for four days, taking leisurely strolls and breaks was very relaxing. The attractions are quite concentrated, so even a commando could check off the main sites in one day, but I personally recommend three days for a more comfortable experience. 🏠About the attractions: 1. Top recommendation is Train Street. You need someone to guide you in, probably for safety reasons, and the fee is not more expensive than outside. To see the train, you have to wait for the weekend, and it's more beautiful when the lights are on at dusk. 2. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Security checks are required to enter, and many tour groups come here to check in. 3. The Imperial Citadel. The entrance fee is 30,000, and it's not very big inside, but many young ladies are taking photos. The yellow city walls are very photogenic. 4. Hanoi Opera House. It's beautiful for taking photos when the lighting is good. 5. St. Joseph's Cathedral. Suitable for photo ops and check-ins. 6. The Fine Arts Museum and the History Museum are worth a visit if you have time. 7. The famous coffee building + Hoan Kiem Lake. I sat in the rooftop café for a while, and the view was nice. 🚴About transportation: 1. Walking is highly recommended, as the attractions are not far from each other. Just choose where you want to go and use Google Maps to find the location and route. There are many shops and cafés along the road where you can stop by anytime. 2. Riding a motorbike. Grab is very convenient, and motorbikes are cheaper. 3. The double-decker red bus. It's very convenient to cover all the attractions in one go. 4. Pedicab. It's worth trying, but there's too much exhaust on the roads, so the experience is average. 5. To go from the airport to the city center, take bus 86, which costs 45,000 and takes about an hour, much more expensive by taxi. 🍽️About food and drink: 1. Vietnamese pho is very tasty. There are various ingredients like beef, pork, seafood, etc., and the price does not exceed 50,000, with free refills of noodles. 2. Egg coffee. Very fragrant, sweet, and creamy, and when mixed with coffee, it has a caramelized flavor, although the portion is a bit small, it's definitely worth a try. I went to Giang Coffee, which is said to be the original creator, and everyone had a cup in hand. 3. Coffee street. As long as you're in the city, there's a coffee shop every ten steps. You can try any with a Google Maps rating of 4.5, which is very friendly for coffee lovers. I bought Arabica coffee beans to take home, and they also have Moka pots and other items with great value for money. 4. There are many outdoor gear shops around the coffee building, such as The North Face, Patagonia, Salomon, and Arc'teryx. Remember to haggle for clothes, but it's harder to bargain for shoes. All are made in Vietnam, and you can judge their authenticity for yourself. 5. Street food. There are many motorcycles in Hanoi city, which I find a bit noisy, so after walking for a while, I like to find a relatively quiet café to sit in. 2. You can withdraw money from ATMs, and UnionPay cards are charged a fee. Many shops accept credit cards, which is convenient. 3. When getting change while shopping, make sure to count carefully, as you might be given less by a few hundred thousand haha. 4. It's cheaper to get a SIM card in the city than at the airport. Overall, Hanoi is not expensive, and the architecture and streets are picturesque, suitable for a leisurely three to four-day stroll. If you have extra time, you can spend a day or two in Halong Bay, making it about a week in total.
