There are 100 cast iron statues, all looking out to the horizon. Following the beach along, you should be wary of quicksand and stay around the paths others are taking. The Lake House is both a hotel on the seafront and a lovely restaurant/cafe to visit. There are a large number of tables and a decent range of food on offer. Spaces to sit outdoors are also available and drinks/food can be enjoyed with a sea view. The navigable shipping channel in Liverpool Bay, connecting the River Mersey to the Irish Sea, runs parallel to the beach to around the coastguard station where it swings out to sea.

My days in Liverpool were filled with excitement. I soaked in the history of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Royal Albert Dock, wandering through its stunning Victorian warehouses, now filled with a bustling mixture of museums, shops, and restaurants. As dusk fell, the city transformed into a playground for revellers, and the energetic nightlife of Seel Street came alive. With its vastarray of unique bars and live music venues, it was the perfect place to experience the vivacious spirit of Liverpool. Yet, despite the allure of the city, the experience that truly captured my heart and imagination was a short trip away, in Crosby Beach. Here, an army of 100 life-size cast-iron men stare out into the Irish Sea, seemingly oblivious to the world around them. These figures, collectively known as "Another Place," are the work of the internationally renowned sculptor Antony Gormley. As I strolled along the beach, I felt an overwhelming sense of solemnity and tranquillity. The figures stand in silent contemplation, some partially buried in sand, others partially submerged in water as the tides change.
