Today, we visited Wuzhen water town. We chose to enter from the West side. We arrived around 11 AM and took a boat to the end of the town. Wu Zhen is definitely one of the must visit place if you are going to travel to china especially during night time. It is a well preserved heritage area, a best place that can immerse us into their culture. But be reminded that most of the light will shut down on 10pm. I drove from Suzhou to Wuzhen Water Town on weekends. It takes about an hour to drive from the urban highway to the scenic spot. I personally think it is more convenient to drive by myself. Wuzhen is divided into Xizha and Dongzha. We chose to go to Xizha. The ticket price for Xizha is 150 yuan per person, the ticket price for Dongzha is 110 yuan per person, and the combined ticket price is 190 yuan per person. There is a large parking lot at the entrance of Xizha. After entering, there is a cruise ship dock. The characteristic Wupeng boat described by Lu Xun can take you to the other end of the scenic spot. You can buy a one-way ticket to the other end, which takes about 25 minutes. The ticket price is 60 yuan per person, and the charter boat is 480 yuan per person. We chose to take a boat to go there. In the middle of the lake, you can see the ancient buildings of the two water towns. There are many people on weekends. Various snack bars are waiting in line, and the business is very hot. There are many homestays in Xizha. Those who like to see the night view can stay for one night. The homestay has farmhouse dishes, but the price is a bit expensive. Young ladies wearing Hanfu and Tang Dynasty costumes can be seen everywhere on the road, all of them are there to check in and take photos. A unique landscape is formed on the road, with a strong water town feature. It is generally large, and the alleys are full of various shops where you can go shopping. Occasionally there are a few Western restaurants. If you like to drink, you can go and make a cocktail, sit by the lake, and watch the boats coming and going. It is very pleasant.
