Moselle valley gems
You can start your trip from every point of the rout, but it's very probably to do it by some of the near airports (Düsseldorf, Köln, Dortmund). Then rent a car and hit the road. We did stops at Koblenz, my favourite fairytale little Cochem and Trier. The next day was dedicated to Burg Eltz and it's fantastic castle. A two day itinerary at its finest: picturesc landscapes, castles, wine, vineyards and good company 😎

A German castle known only to those in the know. Head to Burgertz!
There is little information about Eltz Castle online.
It is a very beautiful castle that is included in the top three most beautiful castles in Germany.
It is located deep in the mountains, so I walked along a mountain path.
It takes about an hour and a half to walk to the castle from a small rural station called Moselkern.
There is also a bus that goes to the castle from another station, but I didn't know much about it, so I walked lol.
The castle was so well preserved that I wondered if it was a castle built in modern times. I think it cost about 10 euros to enter. The pamphlet is actually in Japanese!
You can only enter Eltz Castle with a tour led by a local guide, which is held at set times in German and English.
I recommend checking on site. Photography is prohibited inside the castle.

Castles - live like a princess
Eltz Castle has steadily become one of the most-photographed castles on Instagram with many landscape photographers choosing to capture it during the eerie hours of the day.
The castle sits on top of a hill surrounded by a thick forest, adding to the mysterious feel. Located in Rheinland-Palatine, known as the Moselle wine region famous for Riesling wine, due to its secluded position, it feels worlds away.

Eltz Castle is one of the three most beautiful castles in Germany, along with Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenzollern Castle 🥳🏰💭
A cute castle that suddenly appears in the mountains along the Eltz River, a tributary of the Moselle River, as if it had jumped out of a fairy tale world 🎶
The bridge leading to the castle has an atmosphere that is just like something out of a fairy tale, and I can't stop feeling excited from the moment I head there 🤩💓
The white windows with red borders are very cute, and the castle looks a little tough from a distance, but the details are very cute 🫶

Eltz Castle Germany
Eltz Castle is a medieval castle nestled on a hill above the Moselle River between Koblenz and Trier in Germany. The castle has been owned by the Eltz family, who have lived there since the 12th century. Eltz Castle is the only castle in the Eifel region that has never been destroyed and remains perfectly preserved. The castle is situated on a rocky ridge 70 meters (230 feet) high, surrounded by the Elzbach River, a tributary of the Moselle River to the north. The surrounding Elz Forest has been declared a nature reserve. You will feel the beautiful medieval past, built amidst nature in an amazing way.

Small beautiful town near Eltz castle!!
Definitely I am not a city person . Since I don’t like shopping and crowded places , I prefer to do lots of day trip from major city to small town when I travel. Today after I visited, Eltz Castle , I still got so much time to explore , so I explored Hatzenport town and then drop by Koblenz town for lunch and coffee , walked around town square before I went back to Frankfurt. Such a beautiful and peaceful small towns indeed !!
Another good reason is , I didn’t go all this area by tour agency , so I can go as early as I can and i can chill anywhere I like . Feel free to explore on your own. See you all on the other side of the🌎!!

Childhood dream castle , Eltz Castle!!
Another bucket list of mine !!!
This is the only reason I am here in Germany 🇩🇪. Dream do come true !! Such a beautiful fairytale Castle- Eltz Castle(Eltz in the wonderland) .
Eltz Castle is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of House of Eltz who have lived there since the 12th century.
The castle is now in the hands of the 34th generation of Eltz Families.
I visit this castle from Frankfurt as a day trip.I need to take train from Frankfurt main station to Hatzenport, with one transfer at Koblenz in between. Then from Hatzenport station, take bus 365 to castle car park and walk up around 20mins hike up to the castle. The Castle open to public from 1st April to 1 October and 9:30am - 5:30am. But remember to buy ticket online or go early to get your ticket .
As a super early bird like me , went there so early to explore the surroundings area and some hiking trails as well .
If you plan to go Germany, remember to visit Eltz Castle. See you all on the other side of the 🌎!!

What a stu
What a stunning place that's situated so dramatically on the top of hill. After parking it's a short walk to an economical shuttle bus that takes you to almost the castle itself. Beautiful castle, 850 years old and stil owned by a branch of the same family that lived there in 12th century, 33 generations ago. #wintergetaway
