In the quiet and deep darkness, the ginkgo tree exudes a serene presence, as if it holds a soft golden light within itself. The colors of the Ginkgo Tree in Banggye-ri, Wonju, are mesmerizing. Bangyeri Ginkgo Tree 💛 반계리 은행나무 Located in Wonju, this 800+ year-old ginkgo tree stands tall at 32 meters. If you visit in early November, you might be lucky enough to see the entire tree transform into a radiant golden yellow. This spectacle happens only once a year, making it one of the top three most beautiful ginkgo trees in Korea 🍁. 📸 Photo taken on November 7th. Koreans believe that a monk once passed through this area and planted his staff into the ground, which eventually grew into this magnificent ginkgo tree ✨. ----------------------------------- 🚌 How to Get There: Traveling from Seoul is quite easy. Take a bus from Seoul Express Bus Terminal to Munmak Bus Stop. Then, hop on bus number 5 and get off at 남도동. From there, it's just a 5-minute walk. For the return trip, take bus number 5 to its final stop at Seowonju Station, and then take a train back to Seoul. The journey takes about 1 hour (advance ticket booking is recommended).

It spans Myeongam-ri, Bongyang-eup and Hwangdun-ri, Sinrim-myeon, Wonju-si. There was Gamaksanseong Fortress, and unlike other mountain fortresses in Jecheon, this mountain fortress does not have a river. It extends from Chiaksan Mountain to the north and connects to Seokgiamsan Mountain to the south. The Jungang Expressway and National Road No. 5 pass through the west side of the mountain. Just below the peak is Baekryeonsa Temple, founded by Master Uisang in 662 (the second year of King Munmu of Silla), and behind the temple are two rocks called Dongja Rock and Seonnyeo Rock. It is a mountain where you can drive to the temple near the peak. I visited the Park Kyung-ni Literature Museum in Wonju, Gangwon-do. Its a must see if you visit Wonju. Surprised, The new suspension bridge that is 2 kms right after the blue bridge, following the path extension. It was a unique experience! The view is breathtaking in both bridges! Be prepared to to climb hundreds of steps to reach the first bridge, but it's worth every step to get there! Suggesting arranging to have at least 4 hours to spend for the whole walk. The whole area is still under renovation.
