#April Travel Support Yantai Xiejie Street Stroll Review
Yandai Xiejie Street in Beijing is a charming place where tradition and modernity coexist in the city center.
It is only about 232m long, but the stories contained within it are deep and rich.
This is one of the oldest commercial streets in Beijing, formed during the Yuan Dynasty and reached its peak during the Qing Dynasty.
In the past, there were many shops selling tobacco pipes, so it was named ‘Yandai Xiejie’.
Traditional Chinese-style buildings line both sides of the street,
making it feel like time travel.
There are handicraft shops, antique shops, tea houses, and various street food restaurants,
making it fun to walk around and look around.
In particular, the street lights come on in the evening, creating an even more charming atmosphere. It is also adjacent to Houhai Lake, so it is also great for enjoying leisurely time by the lake after a walk.
