Highly recommended! ✈️Transportation Arrangements Round-trip flights between Beijing and Yinchuan, high-speed train between Yinchuan and Zhongwei, rented a car for half a day in Zhongwei. Early May off-peak, not many people, the experience was excellent. 📝Daily itinerary is very relaxed Day 1: Fly from Beijing to Yinchuan, first stop Tongxin Chun for hand-pulled meat, must order the raw boiled noodles, tastes like home, kids love it. Ningxia Museum allows entry with ID without reservation, told kids about Western Xia history, they listened very attentively. Ziqiang Alley is just a graffiti wall, really no need to go out of your way, Sister’s Spicy Hot Pot was just average. Lanshan Park was too crowded, took a quick photo and left, better to avoid crowded places with kids. Day 2: Spend plenty of time at the Western Xia Imperial Tombs, it’s really huge. We only saw the performance, Tomb No. 3, and the museum, which took three hours, and there was still a lot left unseen. Kids were very interested in Western Xia culture and asked many questions. Had another meal at Tongxin Chun for lunch, the carbs were incredibly fragrant, kids never get tired of it. In the afternoon, had coffee at Huacang, nice environment. Day 3: The owner of Chunshu Coffee is so interesting, the hidden menu item "Tomato Stir-fried Goji Berries" is really delicious, sweet and kids love it too. The Yellow River lodging area is really beautiful for photos but has little food or shopping, better to eat well in the city first. Highway 66 is great for photos, though the road is a bit rough. At night, ate fried pulled noodles at Zhongwei Mall Night Market, Ma Weicheng’s grilled lamb was excellent. Day 4: The environment at He Coffee is really nice, cold brew is refreshing, tiramisu is delicious, kids love the cake. In the afternoon, the Tengol Hotel sent a car to pick us up, the Moroccan Middle Eastern style is so photogenic, kids ran around the hotel everywhere, lots of great photo spots, no need to go to attractions, you can play all day at the hotel. Day 5: Had breakfast, took photos, and strolled around Tengol Hotel in the morning, took a full 360-degree tour to really feel the charm of the desert hotel. Took the high-speed train back to Yinchuan, the owner of Plus Cafe is truly a coffee artisan, shared a lot of coffee knowledge, very enlightening. The local auntie recommended Li Yan’s stir-fried meat, it was so fragrant, ate two big bowls with rice. Flew back to Beijing in the afternoon, perfect end to the trip.
