Getting to Furongzhen is easy enough though requires several steps if you don't have your own cae. Coming from Zhangjiajie we took a Didi, the high speed rail and then a taxi to the town. You then have to do the reverse to get back. We actually had to have someone call us a taxi from the scenic area since they aren't readily available and there aren't Didi's there. The attraction itself is pretty great. There are a few hiking trails and the one under the waterfall is pretty cool. We also hiked along the cliffs for a great view of the town and waterfall. There are countless restaurants and shops so you could probably spend the whole day there if you we're into that sort of thing, though be ready to pay for it! Foreigners need there passports to enter but it's easy enough otherwise. We have an 8 month old and brought our striller which was a mistake since there are lots and lots of stairs. If you have a little one I'd suggest bring some kind of baby carrier. Overall, a worthwhile daytrip from Zhangjiajie.#furongzhen #daytrip

Getting There - go to the bus terminal in Zhangjiajie. buy the ticket and wait for the next available bus. It costs around ¥30 and takes around 2 hours. Wear your seatbelt - it’s a bumpy ride. Sitting in the bus is a beautiful way to observe rural farms and natural China mountain scenery. Attractions - you are required to buy the ticket to enter the scenic town. There’s a waterfall you can walk under, you can ride the boat, you can find a restaurant with a beautiful view. There’s even an outdoor cinema. Choose the things you like. You can do everything in one or two days. Hotels - the hotels inside the tourist area are more expensive. If you don’t mind walking for 10-15 minutes you can get a pretty cheap room on the main road before entering the water villiage. If you prefer luxury - try to find the hotel with the good view. There is good availability and many places to choose from. Food & Restaurants - many restaurants here serve delicious Hunan dishes. Try to find the place to eat where you can see the waterfall and enjoy fresh fish from the river. Delicious! Shopping - there are lots of little shops to buy souvenirs, cold drinks or ice cream. Bu Ermen Forest Park is located on the bank of Mengdong River, 1.5 km south of Yongshun County, with a total area of 30 square kilometers. It is the northern gate of Mengdong River Scenic Area. It features Shiqi, hot springs, stone carvings, and Guanyin worship. The limestone, lotus pond, and eight-figure maps of limestone dissolution are regarded as the magical work of nature. The TV series "Oolong Mountain" and "Xiangxi Yuji" were filmed here. Buddhid Forest Park has a variety of large karst stones, and different stones are spliced into different shapes. Looking up at the sky, the sky is sometimes wide, sometimes narrow and into a line of days. Walking through the stone array, the aroma of the vegetation is refreshing. When I was tired, Xiao Yan closed her eyes and raised her spirits, but she heard the empty mountain birds and the heart entered a world of incomparable purity. Bu Ermen Forest Park is the first national forest park to receive the authorization of the China National Forest Park. It is also one of the Buddhist resorts in Hunan Province. The word "not the second" is a Buddhist term, which is derived from the "Buddhist Dictionary", meaning no difference between each other. Two Gate Forest Park has a stone forest with a set of strange rocks. It is unpredictable, and the narrow roads are intertwined. The beauty of this thousand-year-old town is best experienced at dawn and dusk, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over a landscape that resembles a traditional Chinese ink painting. 🏠｜Accommodation and Dining If possible, choose a room on the outer perimeter with a good view. We stayed at the Tianquan Inn, where the view from our window of the cliffs and waterfalls was stunning, especially at sunrise, sunset🌅, and at night🌃! Regarding the room itself, the bed and bedding were of excellent quality for an inn, and there were thoughtful touches like bathrobes, red wine🍷, sparkling wine, and fresh towels. Everything was very clean and new, making for a comfortable stay. Our conversations with the owner revealed a truly visionary and thoughtful individual. Our room was quite luxurious. Upon entering, we were greeted by a stylish, vintage bed🛏. The bathroom featured a rockery⛰, creating the illusion of showering in a waterfall cave – haha! A thoughtfully placed heat lamp above ensured warmth even in winter. Just outside the room was a scenic open-air balcony, perfect for enjoying drinks🍷, conversation, and the night view🌃. The ancient town offers different vistas by day and night, and watching the changing light is a captivating experience. You can also savor local Xiangxi cuisine, including rice tofu, Guzhang teppanyaki, and crispy rice cooked in a wood-fired pot. I highly recommend this unique and relaxing inn.
