Spanish Heritage in Zamboanga 🇵🇭
#timetotravel
This is a 17th century military defense fortress built by Spain when they colonized the Philippines. Fort Pilar has now been converted as a recreational park where you can relax and stroll around. Just feel the historic vibe of this place. Also, when you enter Fort Pilar you will notice that there some atrificats and antiques diplayed inside and this is because this place is used as a branch of the National Museum on the Philippines in Zamboanga City. Very interesting and educational displays and exhibits which show the rich culture and history of Mindanao.
Entrance Fee: Free of charge.
Address: N.S. Valderosa Street · Zamboanga City. #mytripvlog #tripblazers #history #culture #philippines #museum #fort #zamboanga

Hidden beach
Hidden beach at Dita Zamboanga. This is one of 11 islands in Zamboanga. The private beach is not crowded with tourists so the sea is still pristine. To get to the island, you will travel by car and boat. The sea water here is clear, the sand is white, the sea is shallow. #zamboanga #hiddenbeach #philipinese

Asia's Latin city in Mindanao
Zamboanga City’s identity is deeply intertwined with Spain—from the way they speak, to the food they eat. Their culture is a colorful mix between the conquistadores of yore, to Christian and Muslim customs.
The best time to go to Zamboanga City is during October when they celebrate the annual Zamboanga Hermosa Festival.
📍 How to get to Zamboanga city
Two of the three major airlines in the Philippines, Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific, has direct flights from Manila to Zamboanga City. Travel time is about an hour and forty five minutes, with five daily flights. Zamboanga can also be reached by ferries, albeit on a longer travel time, from major cities like Manila, Cebu, and Davao. If you’re already in Visayas and Mindanao, you can even ride a bus, both air-conditioned and non-aircon, going to Zamboanga through Ceres and Rural Transit.

Best developing beach in Zamboanga
South of Zamboanga city atleast 50km away from the city center lies a developing undisturbed beach far away from the main population of zamboanga. Its natural beach formation gives it a world class beach front and a stunning view of the natural beauty of the Philippines.

A day at the Pink Sand Beach
Travel to the Pink Beach at Great Santa Cruz Island, which is accessible from Zamboanga City, if you're seeking for a distinctive beach to explore. Because of the white sand mixed with the crushed red organ pipe corals, the beach has a sandy pink tint. It might not be noticeable at first unless you examine the sand closely or look at it from a drone video or camera.
A trip to Zamboanga Pink Beach is worthwhile not only because it was named one of the greatest beaches by National Geographic, but also because you can tour the island's mangrove jungle, where you may ride a colorful vinta and experience non-stinging jellyfish.

People in
People in the Philippines like to celebrate Christmas for as long as possible! The playing of Christmas carols in shops can start in September! The formal Christmas celebrations start on 16th December when many people go the the first of nine pre-dawn or early morning masses. The last mass is on Christmas day. The Christmas celebrations continue to the First Sunday in January when Epiphany or the Feast of the Three Kings is celebrated. In the Philippines the early masses held before Christmas are called the 'Misa de Gallo' or 'Simbang Gabi' in Filipino. Most Filipinos are Christians with about 80% of people being Catholics. It's the only Asian country with so many Christians. Because of this, Christmas is the most important holiday in the Philippines.

#holidayvacation Every December, Zamboanga City’s historic City Hall is awash in colors, lights, and finery to welcome the yuletide season. Christmas in Zamboanga is a celebration that brings together communities and families with fun-filled and wholesome activities, most notable of which is the annual countdown, the Grand Lighting Ceremony, that unveils the beautiful light displays at City Hall and other nearby landmarks, courtesy of the local government of Zamboanga City. Merry Christmas everyone! #merryxmas

#holidayvacation Paseo del Mar is a great place to relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and the nearby islands. The sunset here is amazing. It is open early morning for people who want to jog, walk or exercise but it is most active in the afternoon and at night. There are array of restaurants here and some offer live band music at night. Moreover, there is a dancing fountain in the vicinity. There are also sea gypsies on their boat catching people’s attention. Lastly, this is the jumping off point going to the famous pink sand beach, Sta Cruz Islands which is 10 to 15 minutes by boat. #merryxmas
