We booked direct and were confirmed with the motel well ahead of time in July 2021 for a two bedroom unit for 3 persons for a one night stay in January 2022. On arrival, the owner told us she had made a mistake and our 2 bedroom unit was now occupied and we were given a one bedroom unit. Sleeping arrangement was one bed in the lounge and one double bed in the bedroom. As it was a one night stay, we reluctantly stayed, without any concession from the owner in the form of an apology. So take heed that your requested booked accommodation may not be what you get. It was a hot night during our stay, and there is no air conditioning. One portable fan was provided in the bedroom, and no cooling for the lounge. Hence, a very restless night. Location was convenient, easy walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. We paid $225NZ for our stay.

I stayed in the beautiful spa suite as all the studio rooms were booked out which the owner kindly gave to me for a discounted price. The bed was so comfortable, the balcony faced the mountains beside rural fields and the service was outstanding. I fully recommend treating yourself to the luxury of staying at this super clean and comfortable place.

We finished off our 2 weeks in NZ with a 4 night stay at the QS Studios. The location in the middle of Queen St was perfect for us, and surrounded by shops with everything you need and many restaurants - the Thai one on site was excellent. The couple managing QS Suites are delightful and nothing was too much trouble. I congratulate them on their dedication. The studios are super clean and well appointed. The beds gave us the best sleep each night and a great hot shower with good pressure. The daily servicing of the studios was exceptional. There is a washing machine and dryer on site and parking was easy. All in all a GREAT STAY!

First impression is that its too close to busy road and too far from everything. However its about 5 minutes from the Richmond shopping centre, 10 minutes to Tahunanui beach and another 10 minutes to the centre of town. They are also well sound proofed, so little, if any, traffic noise. We had a unit with a seperate bed room. It was one of the nicest, roomiest motel we have had. It was bright and airy. It looked recently renovated. There was a microwave and modern range top. Excellent selection of cooking utensils. Really nice pool. Usable in March! Extra towels for swimming replaced each day. Comfortable bed and you can shut all the light at night. Service was top rate. The propieters friendly and helpful.
