Location is close to the train station just within 5 minutes walking distant. There is a daily open supermarket. That's perfect. The room looked claen but I was bitten by something to be suspected as bed bugs at night. We bought Salzburg card at reception at rate lower than websites. However staff is not very helpful. They did not tell us that you can get a free Guest Mobility Ticket during our stay. You need to ask. Also, we tried to scan QR code in the room to request room cleaning service but it requested us to sign in the apps. I asked the staff I failed to sign up the apps and the staff just asked me to go to the reception again in the next morning to request the cleaning and she was not willing to promote their company's apps. Also, during our stay, seems like there were school activities and many kids stayed there. They played and layed on the corridor outside our room door at night even after 9 p.m. The kids were polite and let us way go inside but the door doesn't seem to be very well soundproofed. We can still heard their voice.

Right turn out of the train station, it's incredibly close – perfect for travelers catching a train. There's a McDonald's and Burger King, and a Spar supermarket inside the station, so amenities are complete. The train station is also a major hub, with the 150 bus going to the Lake District, making transport very convenient. There's a free spa, but I might not necessarily want to use it. The Austrian gentleman at the front desk was very kind and offered a telephone wake-up service, which is great for those needing to catch an early train. The room isn't as stylish as the exterior, but it's perfectly adequate and came with a large bottle of water. You need to pay the city tax separately at the front desk, which is 3.55 euros per person per night and can be paid by card. A tourist bus card will be automatically sent to your email.

We came thinking the resto and bar would be open, but found out we were there out of season. We booked on Trip.com which didn't have the details on the closure for low season, so check the website for details depending on the time of year. Otherwise the place was nice, parking was easy, and the view from the hotel was great. It's about a 7 minute drive up from the town.

A lovely stay at Hotel zum Hirschen Salzburg. The hotel has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly matches the charm of Salzburg. It is within walking distance from the city’s main train station, although not directly in front of it, which makes the location both convenient and quiet. The room was spacious enough for our family of three, including our 3-year-old son, and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was enjoyable and well prepared. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist and offering great advice, including information about the Guest Mobility Ticket for using public transportation around the city. Overall, a warm and pleasant hotel that made our stay in Salzburg truly enjoyable.

Turns out it's an Ibis. The room was clean. The main draw is the location. It's in the northern suburbs, but bus route 21 stops right outside and takes you to the old town in 17 minutes. From the train station, you can take bus 23, and it's a 6-minute walk from the stop. Overall, the public transport is good, and if you time it right, it's very efficient.

Pros: 1. The front desk staff provided excellent service, patiently answering questions and giving specific directions as requested by guests. 2. Convenient transportation – there are bus stops for multiple routes right next to the hotel (Figure 1), and guests can ride for free with a voucher provided by the hotel (Figure 2). Cons: 1. There were at least two spots in the room where multiple hairs were still left (Figure 3)! 2. While breakfast offered a good variety, the price was quite high, and there were too many flies in the restaurant (Figure 4), which didn't match the high cost. Poor hygiene negatively impacts the hotel's image.

This was the most high-tech room we've stayed in during our Europe trip so far. Everything was great except for the slightly small size. The mini-fridge was complimentary with drinks and beer, and the breakfast spread was generous. The location is excellent, you can walk everywhere. The room was clean. Overall, I recommend it.

JJay Rh.The hotel was more conveniently located for public transportation (trolleybus) to Salzburg city center than I had expected. Many lines pass right in front of the hotel, and there is a large shopping mall and supermarket next door, where we could easily purchase groceries during our stay. Despite the hotel being very busy and crowded with guests, the staff at the reception desk and the breakfast restaurant were all friendly and attentive. The view from the hotel lobby was also very nice. One neutral point is that the hotel's entrance sign on Sterneckstrasse could be improved. We spent about two minutes walking around the building trying to find the entrance. Perhaps you could consider adding more signage or a clearer indication of where the entrance is? Unfortunately, I encountered some issues that overshadowed these positive aspects. Having had a very satisfying experience at a BW hotel in Bologna, Italy (which I hadn’t expected much from since it was just a one-night stay during a road trip, but everything from the breakfast to the bed and interior was fantastic), I had high expectations for this BW Plus hotel as well. Since I visited during a busy tourist season, I didn’t expect an early check-in and everything seemed fine until I entered the room in the evening. First, I found what appeared to be traces of a previous guest in the toilet—yes, a small spot of something brown. It was tiny, less than a quarter the size of a fingernail, but it was still noticeable. I have poor eyesight and often get scolded by my wife for not noticing things like this. I also noticed similar dried brown stains on the bathroom floor, which I assumed were the same thing. The showerhead had limescale and mold, which didn’t leave a good impression. These are issues that could be easily resolved with a bit of bleach, and I thought it would be nice if the housekeeping staff paid more attention to such details. The most disappointing thing was the pillow filling, which I’ll simply attach a photo of here. Many guests, especially those from Asia, praised the breakfast highly in Google reviews, so I had some expectations. However, having stayed at many hotels in Europe, I didn’t find it particularly special. In terms of taste, I would rate it around 70-80 out of 100. (To be specific, I would compare it to breakfast at other four-star hotels like the Grand Hotel International Prague or the Holiday Inn City in Düsseldorf) In conclusion, despite these issues, I still want to give the hotel a 4-star rating. This is because I was able to book a room just two weeks before my trip for a rate of around 150 euros per night, which is quite reasonable during peak season in this area. I am confident that with a little more attention to cleanliness and room hygiene, this hotel could quickly improve its customer satisfaction. Despite the concerns about hygiene, I was overall satisfied with my stay at this hotel. This review is written not as a criticism but as a form of encouragement. Thank you to the staff and management at the Best Western Plus Amedia Art Salzburg hotel.

AAnonymous UserHotel was just close to the Salzburg Hbf main train station where easily to access around, opposite the hotel also have Billa supermarket so can easily hunt some food and need at there. Upon check-in you may request the Salzburg city transport pass for free based on the day you stayed in this hotel… Room setup was great, aircon and WiFi works well, bed was comfy, with small fridge but no kettle. The only downside was the shower area was just a pcs of fix glass so when bath the water may easily splash out the makeup area. Overall is a good stay for me. Thank you Arte Hotel Salzburg.

GGuest UserJust a 5-minute walk from the main train station. There's a bus stop right outside the door, otherwise, you can get everywhere from the main station. It's a small but very clean hotel that really focuses on sustainability. The breakfast was excellent for this category. I'll definitely be booking here again for my next stay in Salzburg! Thumbs up!

TTravelshortsI am stayed at Hotel Mercure Salzburg City for two nights during my time in Salzburg, and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring the city. What made the stay even better was being upgraded for free to a premium room, which included a complimentary mini bar — a very welcome perk after a day of sightseeing. The premium room was spacious, clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, good lighting and plenty of storage space. The free mini bar was a nice extra touch, allowing me to relax in the evening without needing to head back out for drinks. The hotel felt quiet and well-run, which made it easy to rest, even though it’s located in a busy and well-connected part of the city. Location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Salzburg’s main train station, which is ideal if you’re arriving by rail or planning day trips to places like Hallstatt or Vienna. It’s also around a 15-minute walk to the centre of the Old Town, meaning you can reach Salzburg’s most famous sights — such as the Cathedral, Mozart’s birthplace and the Hohensalzburg Fortress — without needing public transport. Airport access is also extremely straightforward. Bus number 2 from Salzburg Airport stops just a minute’s walk from the hotel, making transfers simple, quick and inexpensive. This is particularly helpful if you have luggage or an early flight. I would recommend Hotel Mercure Salzburg City to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel that balances convenience with good value. It’s not overly luxurious, but it offers everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable stay in Salzburg, making it a smart choice for both short city breaks and longer trips.

GGuest UserThe room was decent, though the bathroom was a bit small. The hotel provides a free bus pass, which is great for getting around Salzburg city, Lake Wolfgang, and the transfer station for Hallstatt. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but there are many Chinese restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It's about a 20-minute bus ride to the train station and the city center.

AAsdfghjklzxcvbnmNice 4-star hotel with an indoor pool and sauna. Located right behind the central station, with convenient access to shopping areas. Small gym; however, the lack of disposable cups was a bit inconvenient. The mattress was not very comfortable and the pillows didn’t provide enough support, but the water pressure in the shower was strong and the temperature was just right.

GGuest UserThe suite is incredibly spacious, which is a huge plus for families. Kids (even two!) can comfortably use the sofa bed in the living room, while adults get their own separate and equally spacious bedroom. The soundproofing is good. My only real complaint is the carpet in the room. Breakfast was okay, but not amazing – for the price, I'd expect a bit more. The €19 garage fee is acceptable, though you might find free parking in the neighborhood if you drive around a bit (I didn't notice any blue lines or special permits on parked cars). The spots in the garage are extremely tight, requiring precise maneuvering. Would I return? Yes! Especially since it's hard to find anything better in Salzburg for around €250 a night.
