Booked a bit late so didn't really have many choices in Salzburg. But I was surprised by the service and cleanliness of the room. I messaged the hotel directly to ask for direction from the station and was told to take Obus No 2. It was easy to get there with the pre-arrange Salzburg Mobility Card.
Location wise it is not near to the station of Ler the main area. But it is ok since there is couple of supermarkets nearby (Billa, EuroSpar and Aekshea - Asian mart).
The bottled water is only 1 per stay. Free flow of tap water is highly recommended.
Great location, about 10 minutes walking from the Salzburg Main Train Station. During check in, staff handed me a 48-hour transport pass which is a surprise because as the tourist, we pay the city tax. Hence the free stuff comes.
Room is basic. Don't expect much. Towel, toilet roll, shower gel and hand soap provided. Others, no! Bring your own toiletries.
They provide hot water machine at the lobby which you could refill drinking water. No cold water dispenser, so if you are having plastic bottle, sorry, you can't refill water.
Shower and WC is separated, both with a hand basin. So if there are 2 person travelling together, you will find it very convenient.
There is a cute Mozart's mannequin at the lobby, but I forgot to take a photo.
Extremely satisfied! The facilities are new, and the room was clean – it's rare to stay in such a modern hotel in Europe. Breakfast was good, but the view was definitely the highlight. The free mini-bar was a great touch. The service was excellent; the front desk staff and all the service personnel I encountered were very nice. This is a hotel I would definitely stay at again. Remember to ask for the city card; it allows you to use public transport within the city for free.
Was an amazing place to stay with everything you could ask for! Was able to do a late check in past midnight. Had a phenomenal shower and very comfortable bed. 10/10 would recommend!
Great hotel! Room is amazing, location is perfect, staff is nice. The room was clean, spacious, and bathroom was perfect. Television is a bit old and small but when traveling isn’t the priority. Continental hotel a bit poor but it is for free so can’t complain much either.
The bus to Salzburg is only 15 minutes away, but there are several buses going at the same time, and Hellbrunn or Cable Kata are both on the mountain, so if you have a timetable to go there, you can stay in the hotel, especially if you travel from Take the Flix or Leo bus in Prague or elsewhere. This is the direction from the station to the city, so you can find accommodation earlier because the accommodation is earlier than the city. The staff are friendly and it rains a lot in Salzgan, so I rented an umbrella from the hotel and used it well. The disadvantage is that it is air-conditioned, so I chose this type of accommodation, which is usually not what we think it is, but a fan-like device.
Please note that air conditioning is installed. However, it rained on the day we went, so that air conditioning was not needed. Opening the window and blowing the wind is much cooler than opening the air conditioner. You can open the window, because there are no mosquitoes, it doesn't matter. In addition to the disappointment with the air conditioning, the price is cheaper than the accommodation in Salzburg, so you can take the bus.
It was a really nice, clean hotel with a good price, especially regarding other hotels in Salzburg.
Location is a bit out of the center, but the connections with bus are really good (bus stands near the hotel and goes every 20 minutes or so, you need around 15 to 20 minutes to get to the center). Hotel even provides you a free bus card for the entirety of your stay. There is also Billa shop just opposite of hotel.
The room was clean, the bathroom was nice. The only thing we wondered were if there is A/C in the room for summer. Our room was overlooking the busy street with lots of cars, but the windows were really soundproof, so we had no trouble sleeping.
It was close to Salzburg and I was impressed by the friendly reception. I wanted to stay for 2 nights but I was disappointed that there were no rooms. Parking is also free. Everything is great.
Hotel Review: Holiday in Salzburg
We had a delightful stay at Holiday in Salzburg during our trip. The hotel’s location is excellent—easily accessible via public transport, with both the train and bus stations nearby, making it very convenient for travelers.
The staff was attentive and present, ensuring that all our needs were taken care of promptly. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor added to the overall positive experience.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing space to unwind after exploring the city. The amenities offered were sufficient, and everything was in good working order.
Overall, our stay was a happy one, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Salzburg. It provided great value for the location and service.
The room is quite spacious, but the facilities are a bit old. The air conditioning in the room isn't strong enough, and the bathroom heater... well, it's on a timer and still doesn't get warm enough. However, the hotel provides local transportation tickets, though you can easily walk to places from here. It's not far from the attractions.

JJesschanscThe hotel is great but a bit far from central. The staffs are very friendly n courteous. They always wish u with a warm smile. One of the receptionist Ms Inna is very very helpful n kind. My hubby left his hp in a Uber n she help us to contact the uber , act as translator for us all the way n got our hp back. I would say their service is excellent n superb. I would definately come back again ..one more thing, the bathroom is very open, not very suitable if staying with kids.

EEleimonWe stayed at Harry’s home in Salzburg city centre for 3 nights between 20/12/25 and 23/12/25. There were three of us, including our 5-year old daughter.
The hotel itself is situated very centrally, just 5 minutes away from Salzburg’s main railway station, where one can also get access to most of the buses as well. There is also parking available right on the back of the hotel, which is owned by the city of Salzburg, but the hotel can help with booking. A 24-h pass cost me 15 Euros.
When we arrived, there must have been some problem with the booking platform, as I was told that the hotel’s system had us down as two adults, but our booking included a child via trip.com-note to trip.com: check your platform and the kind of information it sends to hotels’ systems please! Anyway, the only problem caused by that was that the sofa bed was not made up as a bed, but they came upstairs and made it with my help.
The room we stayed in was small; there’s no denying it. However, we did not need anything big, as we were out all day. Also, it was very clean and tidy! It was warm when we got there and we dialled the temperature down ourselves, which is always a plus.
Moreover, there was a little kids’ corner on the ground floor with various plush animals, cards, etc. for the little ones. My daughter and I spent some time playing there.
On the basement, there was a guest kitchen in case anyone wanted to microwave anything and eat it there, and there were also two washing machines and two tumble dryers, which I made use of; very efficient and economical!
The staff were polite and professional, but In would have liked them to smile more!
Overall, a very nice stay, a decent room to stay in and an overall enjoyable experience.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very good, with a decent location. There's a bus service to the train station. It's in a residential area, but it's quiet and safe. Salzburg is incredibly peaceful and full of music. You can walk or take the bus to the Old Town, Mozart's birthplace, and Fortress Hohensalzburg. Train stations are usually very close together in Europe, so it's convenient to just a few stops away. We caught the Salzburg Music Festival, and the city came alive. The locals were all dressed up, and it was a lively scene.
