JJade TremblayI called the hotel before my flight to ask about the shuttle bus service, and the girl who answered was like a robot in her answers and didn't seem interested in giving me very detailed or friendly answers. I was a little worried about finding the bus and asked if there was anything I needed to know about how to find the bus, and instead of explaining that the bus would have the name of the hotel on it (which was the case in the end, but isn't always the case in my experience- and I have travelled a lot) she just very robotically said to go to the charter pick up area. The shuttle bus was the main reason I booked this hotel, and I was a little bit choked by this interaction.
The room was okay, it was clean, but confusingly unlit. The only light connected to a switch in the room was by the door, the rest of the room was lit only by 4 lamps (one of which didn't work) and it was incredibly dark in the room, even in the morning hours after the sun rose. The comforter on the bed was just a piece of batting sandwhiched in between two white flat sheets rather than a duvet cover. It would have been a nice service to have brought me a toothbrush to my room when I called down to the front desk and requested one, instead they made me come to the front desk in my pajamas for one. The hallways stunk of **** covered up by perfume. The guy who checked me in was nice and friendly, even though he had a lineup of people waiting to check in late at night and that must have been a little stressful for him.
Overall, I felt the customer service at this hotel could be improved. Even if $120/night is not wildly expensive for Vancouver, it's still a lot of money, and the customer service doesn't need to suffer as a result.
GGuest UserStaff was totally excellent. The room is clean. Bed is very comfortable. The hot tub was just fantastic. Nice swimming pool. Food was good and I have no complaints at all.
AAnonymous UserThe cabin was pretty good overall. Just something to keep in mind, if you're staying in a duplex, you'll want to pay attention to whether you get the top or bottom unit. This time we were in the bottom unit and it was a bit noisy; you could hear the sounds from upstairs. The bathtub was also a little worn and it was the only shower option. Aside from that, everything else was quite nice.
__WeChat38995****Facilities: There's a kitchenette, but I couldn't find any pots or pans in the room. Plus, the kitchen and bedroom are in the same space, so cooking wasn't really an option.
Cleanliness: The hygiene was generally okay, but it definitely felt like an older hotel.
Service: The service was great, with a 24-hour front desk that was very responsive to any questions or issues.
Parking: The parking fee was absolutely outrageous 😱😱😱 It cost 46 for one day 🔪🔪😡😡. I definitely wouldn't recommend renting a car there if you're not planning to leave Vancouver.
GGaolidayingjinsimidaI've had my eye on this hotel for a while, and this time, when I came back to Vancouver, I splurged on two nights here. It was absolutely worth it! The hotel's main entrance is actually at the back, not facing the street. Breakfast isn't a buffet, but it's incredibly delicious. The stay was very comfortable, and there's a small balcony. Just a heads-up, it's really close to the next room, so you'll want to keep the curtains drawn. I'd definitely love to stay here again if I get the chance.
SSteven C KFor the price, it is very sufficient. Many aspects of the room felt outdated, but it was all fully functional and clean with no problems. Personally I prefer it this way since you get the savings and the function which is what really matter.
Staff were all nice and I loved that I could check in at 2AM with staff available to assist me.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in a downtown core area and is easily accessible, meaning walkable to a variety of attractions. Although full disclosure, we have a very high tolerance for walking distance ;) . There appears to be a 24-hour coffee machine downstairs which also dispenses hot water so tea is also available. Unfortunately being a coffee machine your tea is going to taste a little bit like coffee. Overall the rooms are neat, well kept. Although the bed was a little bit too soft for my taste and the carpets throughout really need to be replaced as they look like in a few more years they may even have archaeological value. The HVAC systems are responsive and work very well and the room we were in was spacious and well appointed. The hotel has no restaurant within but they do seem to have an arrangement with a restaurant next door which can be accessed easily and with cover. That being noted, there are many options for both food and beverage in the area.
GGuest UserStaying at this place during my Vancouver trip was absolutely the right and fortunate choice! I truly hope to have the chance to return.
The **location is incredibly convenient**, situated very close to both the airport and downtown tourist attractions. A public transit station is just 1.5km away, and there's a bus stop only 400 meters from the property, making getting around a breeze.
What truly set this stay apart was the **host's exceptional guidance and warmth**. From the moment I confirmed my booking until just before my arrival, they promptly emailed me detailed directions tailored to my estimated arrival time, including clear instructions on how and where to access the property. What was especially heartwarming was that I arrived past 10 PM when it was completely dark, yet the host had already turned on the warm yellow lights in the living room and backyard for me. It was like a welcoming beacon in the dark, instantly making me feel comfortable and at home.
The **room itself was well-equipped, spotless, and incredibly tidy**. The bedroom linens were pristine, and it came with a handy wardrobe, a private bathroom, and reliable WiFi. The dominant white color scheme made everything feel bright and airy, but more importantly, every single item was meticulously cleaned, which truly enhanced my overall mood and stay.
Beyond the private space, the **shared amenities were excellent**. On the ground floor, guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, and a washing machine, making the facilities truly comprehensive and convenient.
Finally, the **surrounding environment and air quality were superb**. The house is nestled in a residential area surrounded by other homes and plenty of trees. Being off the main road, there was absolutely no noise, allowing us to fully appreciate the fresh air and tranquility of this lovely garden-like setting within the city.
Overall, this stay was truly a highlight of my Vancouver trip!
GGuest UserPlace is located at the Main Street. Staffs are so friendly and fast in their service. Room is clean and the amenities are pretty complete (especially as family of four, the mini fridge, plates, spoons, knife, cups, microwave, are very helpful). The only unpleasant thing is we can hear our neighbors talking and they are pretty loud, but not during the night.
GGuest UserThe hotel staff are very helpful. I always leave bags when I’m away skiing for the week.
Checked in quickly.
Rooms are big, immaculately clean, quiet and have v comfy beds. They are also nicely decorated. Got coffee machine, fridge, microwave & good wifi. Breakfast is pretty good. Got some fresh fruit, decent scrambled eggs, yoghurt and porridge if wanting more healthy options.
It has a pool which is nice.
Hall decor is now a bit dated and could do with being re-decorated.
