Very friendly employees. Located next to a shopping mall but still a distance to the city. 15 minutes. Rooms are clean and neat but not soundproof. You can hear people next door or upstair. Not really disturbing. Great mountain, pool and city view.
Fantastic! This hotel just opened last November, and every staff member was incredibly friendly. We were trying to cross the road to the shopping center opposite, and they actually stopped traffic for us to cross – that was genuinely touching. For breakfast, you can take your buffet right by the pool and watch your kids play in the water while you eat. The rooms are all brand new too. I'll definitely choose this place again next time.
We have transited through Pontianak a couple of times and stayed here both times. It’s easy to get to the ferry to Sukadana and the Damri bus stop to Singkawang - great veggie restaurants close by and motorbike rental right next door. Very handy.
We had a problem with our room and the staff changed our room immediately - very kind and efficient. They also let us leave our bags in their secure office so we could travel a bit lighter.
The hotel itself could do with a make over. The reception makes you feel like you’re entering an upper class hotel but then you get to your room and it’s poor. Stained sheets and towels, mouldy shower and damp patches in walls, curtains need changing and washing.
Unfortunately it seems to be the norm in the hotels we’ve stayed in in West Kalimantan.
The room interior as a whole is beautiful. The retro design of the toilet wall complements the contemporary touch of the living room.
Ordered Ayam Bakar (grilled chicken) and it tasted great.
Most importantly they have Bloomberg channel on their TV. Good for business-minded travellers.
The hotel number is not the same as on the website, no one answers the call, they are awareness of the flood situation that causes the customer unable to enter the hotel but they do not want to compromise and has no consideration.
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
HARRIS Hotel Pontianak scores with a good location, friendly staff and an overall solid package. The public areas look modern and well maintained, and both check‑in and check‑out were efficient and helpful.
The point deduction is for the bed: the linens were freshly made but had visible stains, and the mattress underneath was clearly soiled – this is where the hotel urgently needs to improve its quality standards. With spotless bedding and a renewed or thoroughly cleaned mattress, this property would easily be a 5‑star choice within its category for me.
Good recommendations from a friend living in PnK. Hotel meets my expectations & experience with the girl is fantastic. Friendly & helpful Staff very customer focused. Location is good next to the Ayani mall. No complaints. Definitely will choose the hotel for my next stay.
The only complaint I have about the hotel is the wifi. My room was at level 5 and I thought the reason it's slow was probably due to the room distance from the router. Then I asked to change room and they gave me 1 at level 6 which is very near to the router. And no, the wifi is still terrible and almost non-existence. It is connected to the wifi but there was no internet connection.
Will avoid this hotel in future visits to this town.
Too much a walk to downtown with poor sidewalks and crossings.
Front desk denied my third night (prepaid breakfast/room) to be used on second night as had to leave early. Emphasize 'prepaid'. Completed review form in the room, Front desk manager emailed with apologies. The front desk lady should either be fired or went thru further customer service training and courtesy.
Room circuit breaker tripped burning phone charger, and the outlet extender. Electrician came quickly tho to reset breakers.
Room was very basic yet so called 'superior' room.
Generally comfortable. Easy check in and check out when booked with Trip.
Cleanliness - generally a bit worn around the edges, and towels provided are at their life's end. Some yellow marks on the towels and covers might feel irksome.
Location - is very close to the Flamboyan market, with an Indomaret at its doorstep. Very close to Restoran Gajah Mada, and plenty of dining options nearby. Considered close to one tail end of gajah mada.
Service - generally friendly, helpful and smiling. Ordered room service and requested non spicy for nasi goreng, but still came spicy.
Breakfast was included. Is basic with good local options + bread, pastry, cereal, beverages.
Overall, quite good for a short weekend stay to explore the city. But next trip, a slight push to a hotel at more central Gajah Mada would make it that bit better, especially for bigger group.

YyudhaandroI got a room on the 7th floor, it was clean and quiet, and the TV had Netflix channels. I'll definitely be staying at Transera more often!

RRamon DunnI booked the deluxe room and it was very small. The description says 26m2 or something along those lines but maybe the bathroom uses most of that space because it definitely was not 26m2. The room was very small and stuffy. The aircon is not cold its more just like a loud ventilation. Also the pool was closed for renovations which was not mentioned in the booking notes.
Friendly staff though
GGuest UserThe hotel wasn't very clean. Next time, please don't give me a room too far inside or too high up. It took too long to wait for the lift to go down, and the lift itself was also quite a distance away.
The location, however, was excellent, close to everything.

GGuest UserNice and clean bedroom, but property lack maintenance, grass around compound not lawn and very unclean with littering of food packaging everywhere.
