"Extremely satisfied with the accommodation. The room was small but had a sink. There were plenty of public bathrooms and toilets, so there was no need to queue. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was free. The surrounding environment was beautiful; taking a walk nearby in the morning or evening was very enjoyable. "The location was picture perfect. I could write a book of all of the pleasant features and positive moments. The restaurant staff in particular was wonderful. I felt so well taken care of. The dock behind the hotel was a great place to visit. The water was a color I have never seen before and so clear that I could see the rocks on the bottom. There were jelly fish, birds and a seal. I took my dessert upstairs and ate it on my balcony facing the water. Afterwards, I walked up the hill and found a cemetery with French soldiers. I wish I had booked for more than one night."

"It is still relatively spacious, with a separate bathroom, and the unexpected harvest is that this hotel is very close to the puffin nest. When we arrived, it was almost 10 o'clock in the evening. The front desk little goth waited for us to tell us where to see puffin. It is especially emphasized that you can see thousands of puffin at this time at night. We didn't hesitate to go, sure enough, a lot, but fun"

Room size is bigger than other Iceland hotels. Shower is only separated from toilet by a shower curtain, so bathroom would get a bit wet but not a big issue. Both dinner and breakfast are good. Better reserve for dinner as it gets busy. O sure washing machine is handy, although may need to wait a bit as there is only one machine. Staff are generally helpful. Overall a pleasant stay."

"My friend and I made a mistake booking our trip, but we're very lucky to have found this location as a stop between our destination. It was fantastic. The food was amazing. "The breakfast at this hotel is not very rich. I imagined it a bit different, but if I’m hungry, it’s okay. The taste is generally not too rich. The lamb for dinner is very good but a bit expensive. This hotel is not expensive, I think it's good"

We stayed in Room 112 - a beautifully furnished apartment with ocean views and comfy beds. The apartment was very spacious and clean. There was a washer, but no dryer. 2-in-1 shampoo and shower gel was provided. Shower screen was too small so a floor squeegee was provided to swipe water back into the bath area after shower. Breakfast spread and quality was excellent including some homemade cakes, breads and cookies. Location was just a 10min drive from the puffins. Our best stay in Iceland and highly recommended

Wasn't expecting much but ended up so pleasantly surprised! My elderly parents and I absolutely loved our stay here! One of the best places we stayed in Iceland this trip. The Guesthouse manager (matnus? Sorry I'm not sure how his name is spelt!) was kind enough to help us arrange a last minute change of room as we changed our minds and wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I noticed there is a thick layer of cushion over the sofa bed so this was the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. My parents also said the double bed was very very comfortable. Highly highly recommend this Guesthouse!

Lonely_HikerThe guesthouse is ideally located: The Vök Bath, where we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings, is just a few minutes away by car.
The rooms are relatively large, very clean, and the bed, including the pillow and blanket, was exceptionally comfortable – you really sleep well.
I would particularly like to highlight the large communal kitchen. It is modernly equipped and offers several cooktops, so all guests can easily cook at the same time without getting in each other's way.
Everything you need is nearby: A large supermarket and a gas station are only about 700 meters away.
Overall, a very pleasant accommodation with a convenient location and good amenities.

Location: Good, located next to the lake, with restaurants and attractions nearby
Facilities: We stayed in a two-person room on the third floor. The room was a bit small, and a suitcase larger than a boarding suitcase might get stuck; the extension cord had poor contact, the hot water pressure was sufficient, and it came with a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and Conditioner; there is chess to play in the public area.
But why does the 4-person room on the first floor have a hot water kettle (as seen through the window when walking by the lake), but not upstairs? !
Service: The first floor is under renovation, self-service is provided, keys are provided in envelopes for self-pickup, no breakfast is provided, only paper is enclosed in the envelope. Recommended restaurants
Others: Located next to the road, with no airtight windows and poor sound insulation

What an amazing place to stay! It feels like you’re in the wilderness but it’s a peaceful, high quality hotel (we stayed in a hotel room) with tasty, locally farmed, Icelandic food on the restaurant menu and a very good breakfast included on our hotel booking. The staff were so friendly and helpful - and there are 2 dogs, a friendly reindeer called Toby, an arctic fox, goats and sheep wandering around. In fact the dogs escorted me on my walk to a lake which made my day. To top it all we saw a stunning northern lights display and the sky was perfectly clear. A fabulous place !

This hotel is very suitable for vacation and leisure. It is located in a forest. The front desk drove a golf cart to deliver our luggage to the door of the room. The hotel is a bit far from the center of Egilsstadt. The breakfast is average with few options. The dinner is okay, but the steak is too old. The chef came out to greet us personally and replaced it with cod according to our request.
