"The room is spacious and the location is great, right across from the train station. There's a supermarket and a small bar downstairs. However, there are a lot of homeless people, so be careful at night. The hotel is older, but the decor is new and acceptable."

"The hotel's location is excellent, and the triple room was a decent size. It's very close to the airport, and the breakfast, a beautiful English tea, was a lovely touch. This place is perfect if you have an early morning flight, and the airport metro makes getting to the city center very convenient."

"During my recent stay at this hotel, I found the overall experience to be enjoyable with top-quality fittings and furnishings. However, there were areas that required improvement. The hotel itself is pleasant, but enhancing the service and room cleaning would significantly improve the guest experience. A standard room was paid for but a disability-accessible room was provided. We requested to change it to a standard which was done immediately without any questions. No water bottles were provided in the room initially; they were only given on request and only two small bottles were provided. Additionally, the room cleaning service was unsatisfactory. Despite requesting it twice over 4 nights, the cleaner only changed the sheets once and neglected to take out the bins vacuum, replace towels or clean the bathroom. This was particularly disappointing given the length of my nearly week-long stay. The breakfast was beautifully presented with various options but unfortunately remained the same every day lacking any variation. Some areas were particularly poor. For instance, the scrambled eggs had a distinct smell and were overly watery. Adding tomatoes or simply varying the options every few days would have improved the experience. One concern we had was the cleaning team. Twice the cleaner used his universal card to enter our room without ensuring no one was present. My partner was in the shower and our young baby was asleep. We heard a knock but were unable to reach the door in time. Upon reaching it we realised he was already entering. This occurred twice and on the following day we decided to chain the door for privacy reasons. In other hotels we have stayed in, privacy is of the utmost concern for staff and they would never even risk opening someone’s locked door without making sure. A better system needs to be in place here."

"We stayed at the midland for a weekend get away. We arrived late are we were still met with nothing but smiles from the staff. The bar has a great selection, additionally giving a great opportunity for a spa day! We were even given complimentary late check out 😁"

"We had a wonderful family stay at this hotel. Everything was great. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall environment was very family-friendly. The pool was absolutely amazing. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The staff were very nice, friendly, and always helpful. They made us feel welcome and were happy to assist whenever we needed anything."

"Positives; close to didsbury and all travel links. Good to use the facilities in the morning such as the pool and spa area. Negatives; was ridiculously expensive for a 10m2 room with no breakfast 😳. Bed was barely a queen. I paid £140 for one night. Staff were pleasant enough and everything was clean and fresh."

"I stayed at the Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel & Spa for three nights over a weekend and honestly had a great time. The spa facilities were spot on. the pool and jacuzzi were lovely and they’ve also got a steam room, two saunas, an aromatic room and even a cold room. Plenty to keep you relaxed. The location is really peaceful with nice views over the fields. you might even catch a glimpse of goats or sheep wandering about. The room itself was clean. tidy and spacious. I had a standard privilege room and it was perfect for a short stay. The bathroom was a good size too. Even though the hotel only has two floors, they’ve still got two lifts which was handy. The spa facilities are open for a good chunk of the day and there’s no strict time limit on using them which I really appreciated. I booked through a third party with breakfast included, but it didn’t show on the hotel’s system. The staff were really friendly about it though and sorted it straight away after I showed my confirmation. Breakfast was decent. nothing over the top, but a good standard hotel breakfast with everything you’d expect. Parking is free and there’s loads of space, you just need to register your car on the tablet at reception. Overall, a very pleasant stay and all positive from my experience. I’d happily go back."

"The room was spacious with a huge king-size bed. We had complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar which was a nice touch. Breakfast was nice, there were hot and continental options from a buffet. I used the sauna and gym during our stay around 8a.m, I was the only person in there so very pleasant. Overall, I would recommend this hotel."
