TheVoyagerThe room was clean and cosy and front-desk was friendly and responsive. We booked mainly to check out the pool, spa and gym as advertised by the hotel. So it was really disappointing when we found out that these facilities were closed on Xmas day and on other days operated at limited hours when we were there. The pool, sauna, steam room and gym are operated by a separate company from the hotel. That meant operating hours of those facilities are not catered for hotel guests at all. And it also meant sharing the facilities with members of the gym. So if you’re thinking of staying here and using the gym or pool, just bear those things in mind. Breakfast selection was quite limited. Very bare selection of any salads or greens. Quite embarrassing as well to see that clean plates were not available several times when there were less than 20 covers at breakfast. I understand it was the holiday season and the hotel is understaffed. But I’m sure this is not the first Christmas or NYE the hotel has encountered.

Guest Userno parking at this establishment and no dropping off available at times as their maintenance and delivery vans might take up the small space cut into the front pavement. They do provide you with a discount voucher at nearby public carparks. Rooms are clean but the decorating is a patch up job throughout. The noise from the tram it is horrible and through the night as windows are not soundproof. In our room the heating was out of order and oil filled radiators were put up instead. Television sets have either the option for TV channels or to connect to your phone: bad aerial prevented viewing most channels and TV only connected to the staff's androids and not to our iphones. There was no options for apps such as youtube or netflix and kids have to entertain themselves on their tablet. Swimming pool is the size of a private one in a residential home. Staff is courteous and the breakfast is way and beyond satisfactory. The majestic hall from their photos was nowhere to be seen. Would go again if no other options shall be available at the time.

My middle name is FrancesOverall enjoyed my stay. I initially had a room (705) located at the end next to the staff room but changed to another room because of the constant slamming of the doors and loud staff conversations that I could hear from my room. My room change was dealt with smoothly and I preferred it to the one before. The gym was great to use, though the room is small and many of the cardio machines were squeezed in. The main issue I had was with the inconsistent standards of cleanliness with housekeeping of my rooms; when I checked into the first room, there were toe nail clippers left on the floor that was visibly seen. When my room was cleaned the next day, the floor was half cleaned, bins were emptied and drinks replenished but the toilet was not cleaned. Table and desk area were not cleaned also. Housekeeping in the second room was better; they did everything but just didn’t clean the floor which was annoying. The rooms are well designed with lovely city view. Location is okay - it’s about 20-25min walk from Manchester Piccadilly which I did with my suitcase and was fine. Sainsbury’s literally around the corner and loads of restaurants nearby. I would stay again however it’s ridiculous in my opinion to complain about housekeeping standards as a guest when staff should just know how to properly clean a room.

Guest UserI stayed at the Mercure Manchester Norton Grange Hotel & Spa for three nights over a weekend and honestly had a great time.
The spa facilities were spot on. the pool and jacuzzi were lovely and they’ve also got a steam room, two saunas, an aromatic room and even a cold room. Plenty to keep you relaxed.
The location is really peaceful with nice views over the fields. you might even catch a glimpse of goats or sheep wandering about.
The room itself was clean. tidy and spacious. I had a standard privilege room and it was perfect for a short stay. The bathroom was a good size too. Even though the hotel only has two floors, they’ve still got two lifts which was handy.
The spa facilities are open for a good chunk of the day and there’s no strict time limit on using them which I really appreciated.
I booked through a third party with breakfast included, but it didn’t show on the hotel’s system. The staff were really friendly about it though and sorted it straight away after I showed my confirmation. Breakfast was decent. nothing over the top, but a good standard hotel breakfast with everything you’d expect.
Parking is free and there’s loads of space, you just need to register your car on the tablet at reception.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and all positive from my experience. I’d happily go back.

My husband and I booked a random night away. We are very pleased we selected the Edwardian in Manchester as it exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean and tidy. The spa pool area was lovely and relaxing (our children were with their grandparents so we swam at child free times).
It was a shame to see people playing on their phones in the spa area. I was not really concerned about filming etc. However, it was sad to see they couldn't just switch off from the world for an hour or so in that location.
We didn't eat in the hotel and got breakfast on the go as we were heading to work in the morning. We chose to spend the little time we had in the morning in the pool rather than at breakfast. We would normally have booked breakfast but as we had to get to the office for 9am we picked the more interesting opinion.
We would happily book again.

The hotel's location is excellent, and the triple room was a decent size. It's very close to the airport, and the breakfast, a beautiful English tea, was a lovely touch. This place is perfect if you have an early morning flight, and the airport metro makes getting to the city center very convenient.

My husband and I booked this hotel to stay on the celebration of our daughter’s wedding and we were very impressed with all aspects of it the location was beautiful and all public areas were stunningly dressed to celebrate the festive period food and service in bars and breakfasts a very high standard the room we had was also very nice the only small thing that let it down was cobwebs and the amount of dust in corners and behind the tv apart from that a very pleasant experience

JudyruiruiThis hotel gave me such a great impression. Next time I travel, I'll definitely choose Marriott again, and I'll stick with Trip.com. I spent 15 days traveling across several cities in the UK, booking many hotels through Trip.com, and ultimately, this Marriott was the best among them. It's very close to the train station, making it convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and very comfortable to stay in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel's food tasted great.
