Amalienborg Palace
Amalienborg is where the Danish royal family lives. During the reign of Christian VII in 1794, a fire broke out in Christiansborg, forcing the royal family to relocate to Amalienborg for refuge. Later, Frederick V decided to build it into a Rococo style building, so Amalienborg, which was originally four aristocratic mansions, became a magnificent palace. In honor of the king, an equestrian statue of Frederick V was built, which stands in the center of the Octagon at the Royal Palace. This is the oldest building in northern Jutland and one of the best-preserved medieval buildings in Denmark. The current Holy Ghost Monastery no longer has any religious functions and is called the Hospital of the Holy Ghost, which is responsible for community health care, elderly care and donations to the poor.

Nyhavn, Denmark is a landmark attraction in Copenhagen. It is an artificial canal built between 1669 and 1673. The canal is lined with colorful townhouses from the 17th and 18th centuries, which are rich in color and form a unique landscape. Stunning gardens and flowers. Beautiful scenery. Amongst rides good choice of food. Able to leave and return providing wrist is stamped. Not too long queues. Open till 10pm as Tiivoli lights up.

On the way to see the Little Mermaid, I happened to catch the changing of guards at the gate of Amalienborg. Since we couldn't enter, we just watched the changing of guards for a while. The soldiers marched in unison, and the unique ceremony looked quite interesting, attracting many tourists to stop and watch.
