Chapora Fort

Chapora Fort

4.1
Chapora Fort, located in northern Goa, India, is a historic and scenic fort. Originally built by the Portuguese in 1617 as a defensive fortification to protect their territory from invaders, the fort's strategic location and expansive views made it an ideal defensive point. Despite numerous wars and historical changes, the fort's remains are well-preserved, with the walls and structure still visible. Chapora Fort is not only a historical site but also a natural viewpoint. Visitors can climb the ancient stone steps to the top of the fort and enjoy the magnificent surrounding views, including the vast ocean, lush hills, and the tranquil Chapata River. At sunset, the fort becomes a photographer's paradise, with golden sunlight casting a beautiful glow on the ancient stone walls. Furthermore, Chapata Fort gained fame due to its appearance in Indian films, especially the classic film *Dil Chahta Hai*, making it a popular destination for young tourists. For history buffs and nature lovers, Chaparra Fort is a must-see, offering a wealth of cultural experiences and visual delights.Anjuna · 9.3 km from Arambol

The first time I visited this wonderful beach, compared to others it is not very crowded, the water seemed cleaner than on the neighboring one. I rented a sunbed for 100 rupees for two hours right by the sea. The descent to the beach is in the photo, it is safe. There were also few dogs, which was also pleasing, as was the absence of cows))) so who wants to more or less relax without large crowds of vacationers, I recommend it 🙂👍

The beaches are free and relatively clean, with various bars on the sides. You can go there to see the bikini beauties during the day and drink and watch the sea at the beach bars at night. It's a unique experience.
