The Cangzhou Iron Lion is located in the southeast of Cangxian County. It is called "Zhenhai Roar" by the people. It was cast during the anniversary of the Five Dynasties. According to legend, the iron lion was built to prevent tsunami floods. It is the oldest and larger cast-iron lion in China. The iron lion is 5.78 meters tall, 5.34 meters long, and 3.17 meters wide. It is said to be the Manjusri Bodhisattva sitting on the back of a giant basin. The lion's body faces south and its head faces southwest. The two left feet are in front and the two right feet are behind, in a forward-looking posture. Majestic, swagger, and lifelike. In 1957, the competent department supplemented the toes, built a pool and built a pavilion, and there were iron fences around it. After the pavilion was built, the pavilion was demolished in 1972 because the iron lion could not see the sunlight and oxidized quickly. Now coming to the scenic spot, in addition to watching the towering and ancient iron lions, there is also a coin museum next to it, which can be visited together.Cang County · 1.9 km from downtown

The Forbidden City, also known as the Imperial Palace, was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is also the symbol of ancient China. When you are in the majestic and orderly high walls and deep courtyards, you can truly feel its former glory. ▲The long history has left behind large-scale precious buildings and countless cultural relics, which have also become the main attraction of visiting the Forbidden City today. ▲Classic attractions: The Forbidden City Corner Tower is a polygonal building with a convex plane on all four sides. It is located in Dongcheng District, Beijing. The roof has three layers. The upper layer is a hip roof with vertical and horizontal intersections. It is composed of a gable roof with flowing water on two slopes and a hip roof with four slopes. Because there are nine main ridges on this roof, it is called the Nine-ridge Hall. ▲Sundials are divided into two types according to their installation principle: equatorial and horizontal. The sundial installed using the equatorial principle is called an equatorial sundial. The key points of its production are that it must have a time plate, a latitude arc and a gnomon. When operating, the time plate must be parallel to the equatorial plane of the earth, the gnomon must be in the same direction as the earth's axis, and the shadow cast by the gnomon on the gnomon is the desired time. ▲The Treasure House is located in the Ningshou Palace area. It has a rich collection of treasures, including Buddhist supplies, ornaments, daily utensils, and treasures for appreciation. Among them, the red coral lion about 14 cm high, the Dongzhu court beads about 130 cm long, and the gold "Fengtianzhibao" seal are all rare treasures. ▲The Clock and Watch Museum is located in the Fengxian Hall in the palace. Most of the clocks on display are British products, but there are also clocks from other countries such as France and Switzerland. In addition to the timing function, these clocks are decorated with figures, birds, beasts, flowers, etc., which can also make various different movements. They are very delicately made. Among them, the copper-plated gilded writing clock, the copper-plated gilded enamel gourd-top fishing and woodcutting farming clock, and the copper-plated gilded rotating flower running man rhinoceros carrying clock are very rare.China · Beijing

The Badaling Great Wall is renowned as one of the Nine Strategic Passes under heaven, combining majestic cliffs with picturesque greenery to form the most spectacular section of the Ming Dynasty fortifications. Living up to the Chinese saying "He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true hero," this remains the premier choice for most Chinese visitors to experience the Wall. The fortress gate exhibits a trapezoidal shape, narrower on the east and wider on the west, featuring two gate towers. The eastern arch bears the inscription "Juyong Waizhen" (Frontier Town of Juyong), while the western gate displays "Beimen Suoyue" (Key to the Northern Gate). North of the fortress stretches the 12-tower Northern Wall section, while to the south lies the less crowded Southern Wall with 7 watchtowers. If time permits, we recommend exploring the Southern Wall first before tackling the more popular Northern section. ▲Walk Through Six Centuries of Golden History: A Visual Feast of Vermilion Foliage Blanketing the Great Wall ▲ As night descends, the Badaling Great Wall transforms into a gilded dragon winding through shadowed peaks, its illuminated battlements whispering tales of millennia - where imperial splendor meets enduring mystery beneath constellations of golden light. ▲Cloaked in winter's crystalline mantle, the Badaling Great Wall becomes a silver serpent coiled between snow-draped peaks, its ancient stones gilded by dawn's golden raysChina · Beijing

Crowned as "The King of the Five Sacred Mountains", Mount Tai has been one of China's most famous mountain peaks since ancient times. A large and impressive rock mass covering 25,000 ha and rising to 1,545 m above the surrounding plateau, Mount Taishan is considered one of the most beautiful scenic spots in China and was an important cradle of oriental East Asian culture since the earliest times. The mountain was an important object of the cult worship of mountains even before 219 BCE, when the Qin Emperor paid tribute to the mountain to inform the gods of his success in unifying all of China. Watching the sunrise and catching the spectacular sea of clouds are common activities that visitors engage in. You are also encouraged to explore the ancient sites, engravings, and religious temples to understand the role of Mount Tai in China's long history.China · Tai'an

The core value of the Cangzhou Iron Lion and Old City Ruins Park lies in the "Zhenhaihou" (Sea-Suppressing Roar), cast in 953 AD during the Later Zhou Dynasty. Standing 5.5 meters tall and weighing approximately 40 tons, it is the oldest and largest existing cast iron lion in China, and was listed as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 1961. Seeing it in person, its dynamic beauty—head held high, glaring, and limbs outstretched—truly evokes a sense of majesty that transcends millennia. However, the park's visitor experience has significant shortcomings. Covering 253 acres, the park's functional areas are vast, yet signage is scarce. Visitors often don't know where the iron lion is, needing to simply "go where there are people." Aside from the iron lion itself and a few exhibition halls, the content to see is limited, making the park feel somewhat empty. Even more poignant is the state of the iron lion itself. Having endured a thousand years of wind and rain and numerous "protective" interventions, it is quite fragile. This contrast between its "proud head and chest" and its fragility is what truly touches the heart. This is a site worth making a special trip to see.

The Grand Canal, flowing gently for millennia, has nourished Cangzhou, Hebei Province. A vital node city along the Grand Canal, the canal flows through eight counties (cities and districts) within Cangzhou, stretching 216 kilometers. This ancient canal, flowing for millennia, has nurtured the unique character of Nanchuan Old Street in Cangzhou. This ancient street, thriving along the river, carries the memories of a century of canal commerce and embodies the authentic, vibrant life of Cangzhou. Today, this old street transcends its outdated framework, blending its ancient charm with modern business models, cultural trends, and consumer experiences, becoming a vivid microcosm of the coexistence of old and new, and the enduring vitality of Cangzhou.

During the Spring Festival holiday, I came here with my family to watch the Lantern Festival. The park was extremely lively. There were various scenes and programs inside. The dazzling array was really beautiful. Many people looked for the iron flower performance, which was performed every night at 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00. If you want to watch it, go early, otherwise it will be full of people. After the tour, the streets were full of various snack carts. In the end, we went home with fun, food, and drinks. It was very good and especially worth a visit.

Commonly known as the "Sea-Suppressing Roar," the Iron Lion and Old City Ruins Park in Jiuzhou Town, Cangxian County, Cangzhou City (about 25 kilometers from the city center) was cast in the third year of Guangshun reign of the Later Zhou Dynasty (953 AD), more than a thousand years ago. It is among the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units and is the foremost of the Four Treasures of Hebei (Cangzhou Lion, Dingzhou Pagoda, Zhengding Bronze Bodhisattva, and Zhaozhou Bridge). Due to a thousand years of open-air weathering and improper protection in its early years (a once-closed shed leading to moisture corrosion), the iron lion's legs and abdomen are cracked and severely damaged, and its tail is missing. It can no longer stand independently and is now protected by a steel structure support frame.

The night cruise on the Grand Canal in Cangzhou is quite unique. The canal water glistens, and the towering Qingfeng Tower, Langyin Tower, and Nanchuan Tower on both the east and west banks are brightly lit, exuding an antique charm. The Rainbow Bridge is illuminated with neon lights, and the thousand-year-old canal culture makes everything full of romance and beauty.

The Palace Museum in Beijing is a breathtaking, sprawling imperial complex that demands precisely one full day to explore thoroughly. Spanning over seventy-two hectares, its sheer scale is an overwhelming physical reality that humbles every visitor.Because the historical site is so extraordinarily vast, it is incredibly easy to get lost within the complex. Once you step off the main central axis into the eastern or western wings, the architecture becomes a dizzying, highly repetitive labyrinth of towering red walls and identical wooden doorways. Without a reliable map, you can easily wander in circles for hours.Adding to this logistical challenge is the relentless reality of the crowds. The place remains absolutely packed with people even though it is a weekday, creating a vibrant yet undeniably chaotic atmosphere at primary tourist bottlenecks.Overall, it a great place to visit.

Ji Xiaolan Cultural Park is located in Cuierzhuang, Cang County, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. It is the hometown of Ji Xiaolan, a great writer and "big pipe". The cultural park uses imitation Qing Dynasty architecture and ancestral halls as elements, and uses detailed text materials and sculptures to introduce Ji Xiaolan's family anecdotes and his erudite literary style and allusions in a three-dimensional way.
