Our tour guide, Zhou, was very helpful. He reminded us in advance about the ticket discount policy; adults could enjoy a 50% discount on tickets to Xidi and Hongcun with their plane tickets. He was very patient in explaining everything along the way, sharing many historical stories and the family rules and precepts of the Hu and Wang ethnic groups. Very satisfied!

While we expected to join in to a tour group, we ended up having a private tour led by the wonderful Frannie! We were picked up right on time from our hotel in Tunxi, and seamlessly transferred to the bus to get to the cable car. Frannie’s guidance, and help along the way was great. She was able to tell us all about all the landmarks, and make sure we saw everything from the best angle. The pace was perfect, not too rushed but also not too slow. We feel like we got the best combination of it all!
