Reviews: Morakot Angkor Restaurant in Siem Reap, Cambodia [Buffet Restaurant + Dinner + Traditional Khmer Performance + Stage-side Seating]

We didn't regret booking this entertainment program. The Morakot Angkor restaurant was truly amazing. The only downside was that the tickets said we were seated near the stage, but we were actually in the second row of tables, quite far from the stage. The restaurant's cuisine was even more surprising. A wide variety of cuisines was offered to suit every taste: traditional Khmer, traditional Asian, even Pan-Asian, Italian, and grilled. It was simply too much to list. There was a wide selection of seafood dishes. We didn't include unlimited drinks. We also ordered beer and soda. The cultural program included five dances in different styles. Unfortunately, it was more static than in Thailand, for example. But we enjoyed the traditional Khmer dances, as they largely speak to the harmony of soul, mind, and body. Thank you.

This was a great experience! We went to a local market first and then proceeded to the cooking school (not a local’s home). Our guide was “King” Kong and our cooking instructor was Yvonne. She was so friendly and our dishes turned out delicious!!!

We had a great time. Dara was a wonderful guide as he taught us a lot about the fermentation process and the different flavor blends. The conversation was very nice and enjoyable. The place is very nicely decorated and spacious, it makes you want to stay longer.
