Dahong Mountain, also known as Naomuge Mountain, is located in Siziwang Banner, Inner Mongolia. The mountain is a Gobi grassland terrace cliff, which is called the standard stratigraphic section of the Tertiary System in the geological community. It is about 8 kilometers long from north to south, about 5 kilometers wide from east to west, and about 1,120 meters above sea level at its highest point. Because the sandy soil is red, it looks like a red mountain from the bottom of the steps, and it is extremely magnificent no matter how far or near it is viewed. The Dahong Mountain terrace suddenly falls from a flat place to form a cliff. After millions of years of wind and rain erosion, there are strange peaks and valleys in various shapes, some like giant whales, some like huge scallops, some like crocodiles, and some like tortoises rushing to the beach. Between sunrise and sunset in the morning and evening, the mountain is more dazzling orange and red, giving people a strong visual impact.Dorbod Banner · >100 km from downtown

Ih Juu Temple in downtown Hohhot was built in the 8th year of the Ming Emperor Wanli (1580) by Altan Khan, the leader of the Mongolian Tümed. The temple belongs to the Gelug (or Yellow) School of Tibetan Buddhism. Priceless cultural relics not to be missed on a visit to Ih Juu Temple include a silver statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni, the dragon columns and the colorful wall murals. The pure silver statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni in the temple's main hall weighs 1,500kg. Immediately in front of the Buddha Sakyamuni are two golden dragons entwined around the columns, aptly named the Dragon Columns. Because the murals were painted with mineral-based colors, the colors remain bright and vibrant even today. The murals' content is mostly classical stories from Buddhist scripture.Hohhot · 80.7 km from Dorbod Banner

The Dahong Mountain in Inner Mongolia is like a red scroll inlaid on the land of northern Xinjiang, a masterpiece of nature. This mountain range, located deep in the vast grassland, is red all over, and is particularly spectacular against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds. The unique landform is carved by time, with cliffs and folds and gullies coexisting, as if telling the story of geological changes over tens of millions of years. Standing on the top of the mountain and looking into the distance, the majestic grassland and the red mountain are intertwined, and the magnificent scenery is shocking. It is a tourist destination that combines natural wonders with the customs of the frontier.

For off-peak travel, I highly recommend visiting Hongshiya in October. The alpine meadows and light snow on the mountain peaks are absolutely stunning. There are fewer people, making it easier to take great photos. You should definitely drive there. Also, be sure to dress warmly, as it can be freezing cold below 10°C!

Dazhao Temple and Xilitu Temple have many similarities. You can see some people taking commercial photos, and there are many exquisite Tibetan Buddhist statues and halls. There are also some halls on both sides. For those who are not familiar with it, it is good to learn about Tibetan Buddhism. But don't have too high expectations.

It's beautiful! The painted decorations in Shanxi are truly unique; it feels like you're surrounded by immortals. Huayan Temple has the largest existing chiwen (mythical beast ornament), and the all-copper underground palace is also astonishing. Definitely worth a visit!

The scenic area is quite large, divided into two sand islands. Access is by cable car, and the aerial view of the desert is quite impressive. There are many amusement facilities inside, offering a great experience. Although it was a holiday, it wasn't too crowded, so overall it was a good place. Allow plenty of time; exploring both islands will take at least five to six hours.
