Lovely clean and comfortable mini bus. Mukand, I hope I have spelt that correctly, our guide, was welcoming and friendly. We had a fabulous day, Mukand was extremely knowledgeable about the Wildfires and their devastating effect on the community of Jasper and the surrounding natural environment. It was very interesting. Mukand also shared his geological knowledge of the mountain and rock formations. The cruise itself was amazing. Spirit island and Lake Maligne certainly is picture postcard perfect.

Because there were few people, Ctrip sent a small taxi, which was essentially a private car service, and it was certainly comfortable. However, I need to remind everyone of one thing: Rhodiola rosea sold along the way to Huanglong is extremely expensive. I'm 100% certain that the driver and the shopkeeper get a commission, so no matter how good the driver is, don't let them recommend places to buy Rhodiola rosea. Remember to buy it before your trip!!!

The planetarium show was very interesting, but the telescope tour is more for advanced users. As glasses wearers, we only saw the stars that were explained as flickering lights, because the telescopes are preset and the focus isn't adjustable. We also didn't recognize a single one. The guides were fantastic, though! But you really need to have a very good command of English to understand all the technical terms. What was annoying was the smoke from the campfire. We could barely get it out of our clothes.
