I could still keep my original number active while using mobile data from the eSIM, which was really useful. The connection was stable throughout my trip, and speeds were good enough for maps, social media, and even streaming. The only thing I had to double-check was whether my phone supported eSIM, but once that was sorted, everything else was hassle-free. Overall, it felt like a modern and efficient way to stay connected while traveling, and I’d definitely use an eSIM again for future trips.

I loaded a data-only Trip.com eSim prior to leaving Australia and used it during a 5 day business trip to Singapore. As promised it did not activate until I had landed and logged onto the local network. Everyone uses WhatsApp in Asia so voice comms were easy.
