The tour with Fer was really great. Every single dish was fantastic, even though I'm quite picky about food.

We loved our day with Delio! Beautiful visits to the ruins, the cenote, and the yellow city. The food at the cenote home was delicious. Delio was a fabulous guide—highly recommend!

Reviews: Mérida: Walking Food Tour with a local chef and food experts
Guest User2026-10-29
The tour was so informative and so much fun, I was the only one on tour but Jorge was an amazing guide and made me feel super comfortable! I really enjoyed chatting to Jorge about the food and the history that came with it. I loved the principle of 'if I wouldn't eat there I wouldn't take you there'. All the food was so so yummy and it was set out in a great way. I ended up so full. 100% reccomend, was the highlight of my trip and a fantastic way to eat your way around Merida! 10/10 Jorge!!

Dorkas was incredibly welcoming to us! Hugs and waving from the street and very sweet to initiate conversation (the guide translated for us) and that did not deter us from conversation. Our guide Giselle also suggested museums and we loved going to them on our own in the afternoon! The food was GREAT, making the food was more difficult than we thought and they were so patient with us.

Reviews: Cook Yucatán Food with your Merida Mom! (PDF Included!)
Guest User2026-10-26
It was amazing! Gustavo was a fountain of knowledge not just on food but on the history and culture of the Yucatan and the Mayan people. He provided information and answered our questions like a college professor! We even had a mini language lesson over our lunch. As we toured the market and visited the various food stalls we watched as Gustavo helped to build and strengthen the community through his purchases. During meal prep and cooking we learned how to use every bit of the fruits, vegetables and spices, aka peppers, he selected for our meal to create very flavorful, filling and eye-appealing dishes. A totally satisfying and enriching experience for our bodies and our minds. Gustavo, GDTB
