The tour of Pushkar with Manish was over three hours well spent. If you are looking for a knowledgeable guide who speaks excellent English to show you the religious, cultural and historical significance of Pushkar’s temples and ghats this is the tour for you. I had originally booked on the sunset tour but Manish suggested if I was able to, doing it in the morning would be better. Having switched to the morning I can understand the advantages. He showed one of the best locations to watch the sunset from with its accompanying music and fire rituals. You don't need a guide in order to watch a sunset. Also the temples we visited would be closed or soon to close during an evening tour. Throughout the tour Manish was a most attentive, friendly and informative guide. He has a knack, or maybe just local knowledge, to find Pushkar’s most tranquil places to stop and describe it's long history. Zero retail pressure throughout the tour. I can not overstate how highly I recommend this tour.

It wasn't a rigid, formulaic tour; it offered a lot of freedom. We met a unique sadhu-style dancer along the way who joined us for a walk, we ate delicious pancakes and lassi, and we fed cows—it was so much fun! Of course, our guide was a professional, so even though I'm not fluent in English, he used Google Translate to explain everything perfectly in easy-to-understand terms. Manish was friendly and cheerful, and he often exchanged greetings with people we met along the way and at temples. I highly recommend this tour over going alone.
